Doesn't bother me AA. 'Cos however cold I may be, I'll know for sure that tropical boy will be suffering a hell of a lot more than me! ;D Don't joke....just landed at Doha Airport and it's only 21 degrees here - I'm flipping freezing already!! If the weather don't kill you then we are going to see the fastest disappearing tan in history I would actually turn back as Rambo says!

If I could get there, I'd meet you at the airport Miller. I'd be easy to spot. I'd be the one with the big "Welcome to hell!" sign. ;D

Mind you just down the road at Faversham there is "6", yes "6" inches of snow. Oops! Weather forecast not very good for overnight either. Stay tuned is my advice.

Tazzy dear, may I be on your list? I really hope I'm not too late - I've been planning this for ages but this is the first time I've been able to get on here all week. Hope someone else mentioned me if you've already done it (and if not, shame on them ;D )

Sal, you're added. 11.30 from Sutton is the train to be on.
All we can do now though is await the weather reports to come in........

Forecast is that Margate is going to get a bit of snow this afternoon, but the temperature won't drop below freezing so the pitch itself might be ok. *crosses fingers, toes, and eyes* Any chance big Nev could take one for the team and sit on the pitch overnight? Surely his gargantuan cheeks would cover the majority of the surface.

I'd be careful, Burtie. I hear Mr Southall has some very sharp solicitors! The weather forecast for Margate (and other places, I daresay) seems to be changing every few hours. There's obviously a lot of wet stuff shifting around over SE England, but the guys at the Met Office have little idea how or when it will fall. The latest forecast is as follows: 21.00 Light rain shower 12.00 Partly cloudy 3.00 Light snow shower 6.00 Heavy rain shower 9.00 Heavy snow shower 12.00 Sunny I think they might be hedging slightly! But, as Burtie says, at least it's not expected to freeze tonight.

Twitter is bloody stupid. Looking out of my window still got 8"of snow with more on the way.Roads and rail in Kent today were a nightmare with many roads closed and rail services suspended. If the game is on allow extra time for your journey and check train services as they were rubbish today. Hope to see you there.Wellie in deepest Kent.

Ah, but the twitter message that Beaney is referring to, was published 5 hours ago, and at the time, they hadn't had any snow in Margate. One of my sisters lives near Maidstone, and I know she had 6 inches of snow when she woke up this morning. and my youngest daughter arrived at Dover on a ferry this morning and it took her ages to get to Reading where she was being dropped off !
Seems it will be the travel to and from Margate that could decide if the game is on or not !

My guess is that we won't see too much snow in central London overnight, so I reckon trains out of Victoria will be ok-ish tomorrow, we just need to make sure we leave our homes in the sticks to get there in plenty of time. Then it'll be a question of how much we slow down as we go through Kent.
The biggest challenge might be getting a train back out of Margate. There is probably a significant danger that we might get stranded there. In Margate.
Margate.
Stranded, in Margate.
Trapped in the land that time forgot.
Forever.
*shudder*
