I'm guessing that the chances of tuesdays match going ahead are fairly remote at present unless Sutton avoided fridays snow.Temperatures not expected to go much above freezing for the next two days.

Snow chance of this one going ahead It's not an ice thought, but I don't think there's any chance of the pitch being all white.

its raining here in wallington at the moment. Thats rain and not snow which must be a slight cause for optimism. I can see grass in the garden too so the snow is melting at last.

Don't get too excited, I'm told that even Saturday's game is in doubt so we will need a significant improvemnt in conditions.

We really need a winter break in football these days, thanks to global cooling.

I wish i could bloody remember what is good and what is bad for a pitch when there's snow. In theory a layer of snow insulates.
Not talking about tomorrow, that's pretty much buggered, i'm more worried about the Boxing Day game, i'd hate for that to have to be rearranged.

I'd be devastated if the Boxing Day game is called off. Mainly because it'll (once again) entail me visiting my mother in law.

scrub my last message. Wallington is now covered in snow so tomorrow looks less likely again.
I am in Cambridge over Xmas staying with the in-laws and was going to drive down on Boxing Day to get a break from them! Please don't cancel the Boxing Day game
