All of last Saturday's 2nd round ties in the Trophy were postponed because of the weather. A couple were played tonight, but most have had to be postponed again. The 3rd round draw includes the word 'or' rather a lot!
Two Ryman League teams are involved. Our neighbours from Colston Avenue still have to go to Worcester City, with the winners home to Kidderminster or Lewes (assuming the Rooks are still in existence). But spare a thought for Maidstone who've yet to play their 1st round tie against Histon, originally scheduled for 12 December! That's been postponed six times because of the state of the pitch at Ashford. The winners are away to Salisbury, with the winners of that tie away to Cambridge Utd or Eastbourne Borough. ;D
I'm rather glad we're out of it.

It gets better!
Histon won 3-0 at Maidstone (well, Ashford) last week - but the FA have now ruled that as Histon fielded an ineligible player they're thrown out of the competition and Maidstone reinstated.
The Stones now travel to Salisbury for their 2nd round match next Saturday (30th) - the day of the 3rd round.
Carshalton are due to meet Worcester tomorrow evening at Colston Ave in their 2nd round replay.

Histon fielded a loan player they'd only just signed. Seems he wasn't signed before the date of the orignal tie, so was ineligible.
Out they go!
Maidstone also 5k richer as they get the prize money.
