IF it's on (currently not raining here in nearby Egham), I think beerage in the Falcon at Clapham Junction is required.
Say from about 12.30?
Lovely.......

This may be something people already know, but as the travel details for Ashford were in the programme for the postponed Harrow game (although they are on the website now) - there are no trains from Sutton to Clapham Junction tomorrow, and also trains to Ashford are likely to be very crowded due to England v Ireland at Twickenham (ko 4pm). And if you're driving, there's a big race meeting, weather permitting, at Kempton Park.

Was aware of the train carnage. Bus to E.Croy & choo choo to Clapham from there for me. Simples. As for crowded trains, I get that every day on that route going to work. So meh!

A word of warning from personal experience about the egg chasing. Last February our away match at Staines coincided with a Six Nations match at Twickenham. The train I planned to catch from Clapham Junction (this was about midday) was so packed with bulging rugby fans that I physically couldn't get on it! I ended up getting a train via Hounslow (which bypassses Twickers but is quite a bit slower, and may require a change to reach Ashford).

Ashford say that there may be a pitch inspection around 11am. All depending on what we receive from above in the next 15 hours.

Egg chasing avoidance trains from Clapham junction to Ashford(via Hounslow) leave at 02 and 32 arriving Ashford at 040 and 010. As Taz will know these are the Weybridge trains. Trains via Twickenham are definitely to be avoided, with 82,000 drunken egg chasers descending on their stadium!!

The latest news is this:
"As of 11.00am, the report from the ground is that the pitch is currently playable. However, given the heavy rain that has already fallen this morning and that further rain is forecast, we are continuing to monitor the situation.
Should there be any further rainfall, we may need a precautionary inspection, with the decision likely to be made between 11.30 and 11.45 am. We will endeavour to keep supporters updated via the website and Twitter as and when we have more information."
If it is on, I feel I should warn you that the Weybridge trains go via Twickenham...

A slight correction: I misread the message - the Weybridge trains do avoid Twickenham (but they also take forever). Don't use the taxi office near the station to complete your journey - phone Checker on 01784 451111 to book a cab once you get to Feltham.
I am told that the Match Referee is awaited at the ground (at 11.40am). There is water on the pitch, but this is receding. Current assessment is that it is "touch and go" whether the match will go ahead.

Thanks Beano Can anyone tell me what colours we will be wearing? Neither of our kits contrasts particularly well with Ashford's!
