The Game wasn't much cop. But three points is three points,
in fact the perormance was as much kop as my night at TGI Friday's in Croydon, great build up and not much entertainment. Plus no grade A fur to take home!!!!!
Bring on Boreham Wood on tuesday.

Good to see Jason's return today which gave the defence a more solid look.Rather surprised at the way the team lined up but three points is three points and it worked.

To the pessimists among us (including me) seeing the heading of this post and not being at the game I would have thought the worst. But I was there so didn't ;D Tight game that we edged with both teams trying to play football. Great that JG was back. Hopefully B'Wood is on and we can progress further on what will hopefully be on a better playing surface. Big problem for us that soon we will run out of away games and have to play at GGL

This result sees us top of the form guide and unbeaten in six games. Second with the same 14 points as us from their last six is Harrow. This explains their sudden rise up the table. In fact, only Dartford have been better than us over the last eight games! Keep this kind of form up and we will be comfortable for the playoffs and may even (tempting fate I know) be looking at second . It will be tough as the fixtures pile up, but I'm sure the lads have got it in them to see this through to the end of the season. C'mon lads, keep it up!

Finishing second would mean the play-offs would be at home! *cringe*

Poor match settled by the one single moment of real class thanks to Wattsy. But getting 3 points is the important factor here.
Credit to Ashford for getting the game on. Pitch looked a little damp, but played very well considering all the wet weather.
Elsewhere I see the saintly Mr Hartburn got his marching orders again (no doubt for another two perfectly timed challenges) and K's had 2 sent off against Tonbridge, including one after the final whistle....

I'd much rather be at home in the play offs if possible.

. Elsewhere I see the saintly Mr Hartburn got his marching orders again (no doubt for another two perfectly timed challenges) One of our players fouled up, and as players do sometimes, our player carried the ball away a few yards. Up runs Hartburn and pushes our player over with both hands. And if that wasn't amusing enough, the strop he threw when the red card was shown was even funnier.

This should perhaps be the subject of a thread in another place, but T&M must surely be the dirtiest team in our division. Their rearguard of thuggish hoofers epitomise the worst of Ryman League football.
With any luck we won't have to play them again for a long time.

No doubt we'll get another article in the local rag from Billy Smith bemoaning the threadbare nature of his squad......
