Looking at the division above us, Newport are not exactly shabby! 21 points in front with a game in hand!
How the hell did that happen?!??!

So that's where the former Dynamo's ended up I presume? If you mean Colne Dynamoes JR, then yes, that is the new incarnation. They play at the same ground as well.

It is. The Newcastle Town referred to at the top of the thread is actually in Newcastle-under-Lyme, near Stoke. They're both in the NW Counties Premier.

It's only about 70-75 miles at most.
Graham White was only ever involved with Dynamoes (he actually set the club up in the 60's and was owner\manager\chairman) and disappeared from the NL football scene after he folded the club in 1990. There's so much conjecture about what exactly went on there, the real story will probably never be known.
Colne FC is a new club. Formed in about '96 (I think), but they do play at Holt House the old Dynamoes ground.
Dunno why Newcastle have been so good this season. Most likely same old story of someone putting loads of money in and they've just got a team far better than everyone else.

Thank you Tazbert. That's why I mentioned them as Nelson are in the same league and if my geography serves me right they are virtually around the corner from Colne.

Yeah, Nelson are Colne's main rivals.
My uncle was involved as an investor at Mossley in the late 80's so I got to hear all about the goings on up there at the time.
That and I thought 'Dynamoes' was a pretty cool name for a football club. ;D
