Heard some very sad news at the Morden and District meeting tonight that Wally is extremely unwell having had a stroke recently.
He was heavily involved with MDSFL for many years and is still a vice president thanks to his efforts over the years in a succession of roles.
I remember vividly Wally standing in front of the Shoebox in his stewards jacket for as far back as i can remember and longer i'm sure, regularly having a quip to shut one of the load mouths like Taz up!!
Best wishes go out to his family at this time.

Wally was a U's fan of longstanding, home and away, and, of course, is Mark Frake's uncle.
Let's hope he makes a recovery.

Update on Wally.
He is paralysed down his right side & has no use of his left arm. He has lost his ability to speak and his recollection of things is almost non existant (he did not recognise his dog in a photograph).
Not good news I'm afraid.
