A very unlucky defeat. Goodliffe chested one in to his own goal on the stroke of HT , after Sutton had been well on top for most of the first half.
After finally getting a deserved equaliser , a calm finish by Taylor after a rebound off the post , another defensive error let in Traynor who made no mistake in despatching the winner with virtually the last kick of the game.
Lucky , lucky , lucky , lucky Kingstomian. The tall lad down the left for them looked a decent player by the way.......................

billy,
I think 4 'lucky's probably overstates it, but you are right this was never a game K's can have claimed to have won on merit. 1-1 might have been fairer. I'm not sure you guys did quite enough to shade it, but I thought you might win once the momentum was with you just after Taylor had equalised.
Much has been made on these boards as to whether the late K's winner will spur on the U's should we two meet again in the playoffs. It might, but I have to say that K's also have taken 4 points off you this season without playing anywhere near our best in either game (you'll just have to take my word for that!). So both sides could take positives into a possible third meeting.
Cheers, through gritted teeth, to all, at GGL. and - horror of horrors - if you go up and we don't, good wishes for next season in the BSS. Let's hope we both meet again there in the 2011-2 season!
Simon

Probably not a coincidence that you play one of the better sides in the league and are not at your best. Don't think they'd be an advantage to either side as a result of yesterday for any play off meet up. There is a lot of work for both sides before a play off match up. I still hope we can grab 2nd place.

Football has a lot to do with psychology, as I said yesterday there will be few K's fans who may in hindsight wish they never got that winner? Its not nice to concede with the last kick of the game and I hope we hold that feeling right to the end should we make the playoffs that is? I think that is 2 last minute winners in a week for K's now and you only get so many get our of jail cards and maybe we are saving ours :-)
K's will have to raise their game if we meet again and we will have to be more clinical its as simple as that.
But we have a job to do first in getting there which means rolling up our sleeves and getting the points we need to join the party.
