Well certainly not ideal preparation and unless you win its open to criticism. It was like Ashford all over again with a terrible start. 1st pen not sure what for? 2nd killed the game. Home form over year not good enough - the pitch is a problem but we need to find a way to win. Lots of work to do.

Poor start which allowed the first goal to occur. We then got our act together a little bit, but after that the bizarre penalty was given (handball I hear, I certainly didn't see it). Scriven was silly with his foul. The Cray guy was always gonna score a goal, I see that. But instead of allowing him to score, Scrivs decided to hand them a goal in the form of a pen and get himself sent off. Unnecessary. Oh, but we did nearly score from a throw-in

What a disaster. Perks injured, Scrivs with our first red card (well, on the field anyway) and concede 4 goals - Cray must have thought it was Christmas not Easter!
Slow start, then we got back in it only for a mysterious penalty award after perhaps a more certain one had been turned down.
Ref was crap. Had to rely on his lino to give the foul for the blatant obstruction on Charlie & then as above the penalty award.
Still, we were not at the races today & need to get some of those injured players back quickly.

Met Billy today. Is it any wonder you're like you are when you sit with who you sit with? The most miserable, critical and deliberately argumental tosser I have ever known. Even started today in a the two minute conversation that we had. And if he reads this board I hope he sees this.

I hope this isn't the start of a trend, but during the last two games each of the three normally dependable players at the heart of our defence has cost us a goal. Scriven's indiscretion today was the least easy to forgive as he'll now be suspended during our run-in. (No doubt somebody will tell us how many games he'll miss.) Even before the sending off (our first red card of the season, I think) we were trailing 2-1 following a patchy first half. We were just starting to reapply pressure to their defence when their man broke down the wing and Scrivs, having failed to get to the ball, held the player back. I don't think many of us had any argument with the ref's decision, though Dos was sent to the stands soon afterwards. Once we'd gone down to ten men, with stand-in keeper JG unable to prevent Luckett scoring his second penalty, there was no way back. We did continue to attack, but being a man short meant that we were vulnerable to the counter and it was no surprise when Cray scored a fourth. It's been a miserable Easter, but the two defeats were affordable thanks to all the points we put in the bank during February and March. To make the play-offs we will probably now have to pick up points on our travels. One crumb of comfort is that Kingstonian also lost today, so 2nd place is still not out of the question - though looking less likely than it did last week.

One, return match with Cray. Do we have another keeper who has played at this level to fill in? Maybe Big Wayne can come in and do the job? He is a mighty fine keeper and he will defo add to the atmos

Given what Dos told us prior to the original Croydon tie, I'd say Paul Smith will play. Simply as he's being paid to be our no2.

JG went in goal.luckett converted 2nd pen, how old is he now!! Been around forever. Killed the game from then on in. In answer to that PC, Luckett is 35. He played in the same Merton schoolboys team as Steve McKimm back in the day.

What a strange game. Phillips worked his arse off today. I like Dobson, he always looks dangerous. Quarm is nearly fully fit. Great header from Perkins. Lets not be too harsh on Scrivs I would have done the same, and he did do a great save earlier in the 2nd half. Wow the ref was lame compared to Saturday's one. Plus point I took my two eldest lads to their first ever football match and they loved it. Their highlights, Billy 'Horns' because 'he has horns and throws the ball far' and some invisible chicken in the main stand. The pair of them made more noise than most fans 2nd half, so we shouldn't moan about the team not turning up when our efforts were just as weak. We'll still make the play-offs.

I thought Danny Phillips had an excellent game, James Hawes did very well when he came on.

Not the greatest of weekends but it was much easier to take positives from Saturday's defeat (when we played quite well) than todays. Why do we struggle to play so well at home, it cannot be just the pitch as both teams have to play on it.
I thought Scrivens was silly to give the penalty away as a red card was sure to follow but if he didnt have to deal with that pass back in the first place it would not have been neccessary.
Does anybody know how long Gargan is out for. I think Kingstonian would have been made for him and the result may have been different if he played.
Onwards and upwards now. A new run needs to start at Canvey and I have signed up to Twitter as I will be at a family party on Saturday and hope somebody will keep us updated as to the score.
