JG went in goal.luckett converted 2nd pen, how old is he now!! Been around forever. Killed the game from then on in. In answer to that PC, Luckett is 35. He played in the same Merton schoolboys team as Steve McKimm back in the day. I've played against him, against that very side. Makes me feel young in looks but obviously not in current activity levels!

Is it? Anyone from the managing/playing side like to answer that. I think it is a fair question! (Regular and loyal supporters need not reply)!

I thought Danny Phillips had an excellent game, James Hawes did very well when he came on. I agree about James, but feel that Danny was at fault for the first goal and pen I believe came from work down the same side he was supposed to be on. However I do not know if he was given a free role by Dos but our left flank was very very exposed and their no. 7 certainly made good use of it in the first half.

IF players are going to come on here and read posts they need to understand this is place where people who have paid good money to watch the game will sometimes vent, they will also praise and other times they will just talk sh*t.
This is a place for the fans. "
I understand the underlying principle there but I'm not necessarily sure that's in question.

I thought Kes was at fault for our first goal as he appeared to be somewhat out of position at the time.I would have liked to see Anthony Joseph come on earlier against Colin Luckett, the left back, as he might have taken him apart!

After reading the managers notes i see why AJ didn't come on earlier and Perkins injury is very unfortunate.

I tend to wait for the manager's comments before posting because he is always honest with his analysis. As I posted after the Kingston game, I thought that both sides looked tired and it is no coincidence that both teams then lost to teams that they would expect to beat. I agree with NtG about the obvious danger from Cray down the right side and our lack of cover in front of our left back position. It was better when James came on. Both he and his brother who have not played as many games as the others look fresher and to have more running and their energy has been a feature in recent games. I don't expect the next games to be pretty as there will undoubtable be some tension as we try to secure a play-off place. Please no more talk along the lines of, all we have to do is turn up: we have injuries and strange as it may seem after a long unbeaten run, we have some basics to get right.

Kes is not and never will be a left back, end of story. He is a more than adequate right back and a very good central defender imho. Oh how we miss the best LB in the RPL and possibly one of the best in the BSS if he was in it

I thought that Ottaway had a good game at Hornchurch last season covering for AJ.

With Perkins doubtful will John Cartledge get another go at CB?

Given what Dos told us prior to the original Croydon tie, I'd say Paul Smith will play. Simply as he's being paid to be our no2. Is he? Don't shoot the messenger boss. Only quoting what I was told!
