Didn't get back from Belgium til about 14:50 so couldn't make game but after what seems to be an up and down sort of week that's a cracking result.

Not pretty, but got the win. Thought we'd chucked it when they equalised, but managed to find a winner from somewhere. Ref was typical Ryman standard, booked 2 of ours for feck all but let their 6 get away with murder before finally being forced to card him 2nd half for booting the ball at a grounded Danny Phillips. Moron.
Surely the match sponsors picked him (no.6) as MotM for our amusement alone?
Shame about K's thumping eh? Said Dartford would go there & teach 'em a lesson.

Ressies won 4 0, need one win from their last three games or a draw against AFCW next Sat to take the Suburban league title.

Not a pretty game and I have not seen such a dry bumpy pitch since last summer, why the heck didn't they water it?? The ball was bouncing high and holding up in the wind making it very hard to get any sort of pattern to the game, the Canvey keeper having a torrid time on it. We needed the win and the first well taken and the second lightening quite reactions from AJ2 to get up off the deck to restore our lead. Edgy last 15mins or so as we did that sitting back thing which scares me a bit but again it worked although Kev needed to make one outstanding save in the last 5 mins to keep us ahead. Good away support and noise from us today, and difficult to pick a proper MOTM (not there muppet 6 who should have been sent off), but AJ2 another great game, Kev alert when needed to be but my choice is Billy Hawes. That will do a few in but I thought he had a great game today

Really significant three points today. Well done guys.
Agreed os; BH has done well since coming back into the team. Kes was solid and I really liked Sonny Cobbs' energy again today, especially important in a tight game which we needed to see out.
On to Billericay - Dos has been shuffling the pack well during this busy schedule. Going into the Play-Offs as fresh as we can is the goal.
The beer is tasting particularly good this evening as I settle down to watch the Masters. Very satisfactory day!

Dobson looked disinterested when he came on as a sub. Maybe this is why he didn't start many games for Farnborough. Too many offsides for my liking. Players are not alert and are tired. I hope that we are in a position to not bother with the last match before the play-offs as the players definitely need a rest for beating, what will possibly end up being, a Kingstonian side who will be much better rested.

We are one point behind K's with two games in hand. This looks good. Saying that, they only have two games to play - half as many as we do. Tonbridge are breathing down the neck of the play-offs. If we get second, I can see us playing them at home for sure now. The 'Who's Going Up?' page is always helpful at this time: www.footballwebpages.co.uk/goingUp.jsp?comp=11

Family birthday party meant that I was unable to make it today but thanks to whoever does the twitter updates, I was able to keep in touch with the score so thanks for that.
Great result and when i managed to pop away from the party to stick soccer saturday on the box and see the Kingstonian score, even better.
Like Beaney, I have a feeling that Tonbridge may cross our path somewhere along the line.
Well done to the lads today for a good result and I look forward to the Billericay game on Thursday evening.

Spoke to a couple of the lads after the game to say well done. Their reply was simply "well done to you lot": so I pass this compliment on to all those who made it to the game.

Rock hard pitch plus stiff breeze = never gonna be a spectacle. Still both sides did their best to get the ball down.
U's worked hard got th lead thanks to a great finish by Sonny & dservdly led at ht. On corner and it was level.
Not sure if our second was offside as the lino was well behind play when the ball came into AJ. Still, who cares, it makes up for Hughes disallowed effort last season.
As for the ref, totally intimidated by their skipper (no 6) who should have had two yellows for a number of reasons but got away with it.
Massive 3 points - well done lads.

One other point, Angels are in fine form but have a difficult set of fixtures. I note people were saying Aveley's result against Hastings was good for us. Why? Watch out for them, they are flying.

A much-needed three points after last weekend, and a massive step towards the play-offs.
The team unsurprisingly looked a little tired and conceded most of the possession to Canvey, but crucially we capitalised on the few forward raids that we had. It was a nicely placed finish by Cobbs after Pouton's free kick was played across to him. Canvey's main threat came from dead ball situations and they duly equalised from a corner, but we managed to regain the lead soon afterwards with Joseph netting at the second attempt. We had to endure a nervous last ten minutes as they piled forward, but our defence - and Scrivs in particular -- ensured that we kept our lead intact.
With K's doing their best to hand runners-up spot to us, five points from our last four games may well be enough for second place. Seven points would almost certainly do it.

Massive 3pts yesterday.
Thought there were way two many offsides for my liking.
Billericay away next, and that's a tough one they have conceded less goals then anyone in the league.

Apparently their ground will be ok and even if it wasn't you get a season to meet the grade? They still have 6 games to play so will do very well to contiune their form and still be a threat come play off time. Play offs are a lottery to an extent anyway so who cares who we play? There's noone better than us out there. If I was a betting man right now I'd be looking at Sutton vs Tonbridge at GGL in the final! But anything can happen in one off matches with the pressure on.
