Lost 2-0. Both goals in the first half. Lots of new faces, that I couldn't keep up with. A couple of players missing (inc John Scarborough) but reliably informed that the other half of the squad will be playing in the reserve game against casual on Monday.
Warren missed a penalty!

Was reliably informed that one of the new faces was Scott Fitzgearld, the ex-Brentford boss.
The game wasn't that great, thought some of the new boys, such as Cartlidge (ex-Bobbin) looked ok. Was good to see Watkins in the shirt again. Let's hope the performances get better.

Scott F was centre back in the first half, JC was centre back in the second half.

Lost 2-0 to Walton ? Warren missed a penalty ? We're doomed . The season is over .

Don't be silly SV, you got quite a few more players to see yet, don't expect to see anything like a proper side until the Brentford game

I was reliably informed by some bloke(never seen him before) that we were in for a long hard season.I did suggest to him it was more about fitness yesterday and that i thought we would do well this season.

You do know what they say about a poor pre-season?

Is it the same as a poor dress rehearsal?

We have a long tradition of the team's performances in the real season having a relationship that is inversely proportional to how well we do in pre-season games. If a manager tries out a number of new players, then he will usually learn more from defeats and games where that team doesn't play well than he would from comfortable wins that might flatter to deceive. Of course, losing ALL the pre-season games is not usually a good omen
