According to the NLP, Grays are set to drop straight through BS South and will play in the Ryman League next season. It seems their ground has been sold for housing, and they can't agree a sharing arrangement with any local club whose ground is graded for BS South. (Thurrock apparently wanted £55,000 a season which Grays can't afford.)
If this does come to pass, it may mean a reprieve from relegation for the club finishing third bottom in BS South (almost certainly Lewes or Worcester).

Thats odd as i was under the impression they owned the ground and were going to sell it and relocate. They've spent masses of money on ground improvements over the last 10 years and looks like its all going to waste!

Well Well well says OS, knock me down with a feather and tickle me to death with it ;D The Billings own the ground (Mick Woodward has something to do with it?) I think, and he/they want to build on it full stop. The money spent on the ground was only a smoke screen to there/his real intentions this day was always coming. AFCHx + Grays = Grayschurch

Woodward doesn't own the Rec. A local family by the name of Billings does and it seems they want to cash in on their asset (Unsurprising given that a load of the ground has already been built on with the flats all down one side).
Rumour is that the site has already been flogged for housing.
Shame, as like Lewes, I was looking forward to us getting the chance to smash the f*ck out of them on the pitch on their way back down.

Another club might be added into the mix as well. There's a rumour of a BSS club having failed their ground grading this season.
Trying to find out who. Will report back if I find anything else.......

Staines won't be 'judged' until next year as they've only just gone up. Besides, I understand they're ok anyway as they've been passed fit for the PO should they make it.
And no, it's not Maidenhead either. Or Hampton apparently.

At this rate 2nd place might be more important than we currently think . . .

They will ALWAYS reprieve a side from that division. Why? It makes a mockery of the system. The bottom 3 or 4, depending on league, should always go as they are CRAP. I bet if it was us we would get booted.
