I would like to commend the Twitter scores service and thank the people responsible for updating it, but I wonder if anyone out there can help with some problems I am experiencing with the text forwarding service.
Up until a few months ago, I received every tweet on my mobile, but I am now only receiving about half. For the Canvey game, for example, I received the substitutes list, the kick off, our first goal and the full time score, but didn't get the team , half time, their equalizer and our winner. This is fairly typical. Twitter does say that text forwarding may be disrupted by network overload, but surely SUFC doesn't break their system?
As a U in exile (albeit in the UK), I was delighted to be able to keep up with the scores without having to be at home on the computer, but it is actually worse now than no service as it's so unreliable. Anyone got any solutions? I'm on O2 if that makes any difference.

From what I know (with my work hat on here!) the technology is a bit unreliable at the moment - Twitter installed the function but it became more popular than they expected and its creaking a bit. Rumour on the grapevine is that the tech will be upgraded by the end of the year, but don't hold your breath. As its a free service, theres nothing SUFC can do about it.
Being on O2 doesn't make too much difference, but there is a factor regarding who you are with. You are less likely to receive updates if you are with 3 rather than the others, the rest are a bit of a much of a muchness.
I'd certainly say keep the service, but use it as a bonus - if a text comes through, and i'd say at a minimum its on about 70% then its a bonus!

Let me know your username if we are not already following you back. There is also a fans list to which you can be added if you like.
