Does anyone else think it is obscene for the FA to be planning to relay the pitch at Wembley 7 times each year up to 2023 when we can't afford to get our's relaid once?

seems like we both have issues with the quality of the playing surface - difference is we are not in debt to the tune of £757million!!

Don't really see the connection. If mugs like us keep paying for it they will continue to do it.I must say it was very difficult for players to keep their feet the saturday before last at Wembley.

Well, if they're just gonna chuck that old pitch out, I'm sure we could find it a good home! Can't be any worse than what we've got....

Delboy, the connection is that this is the FA, who are supposed to be in charge of all football in the country, not just the England team and the professional game. Wouldn't it be a better use of that money to spend it on helping clubs like us with our pitches? And you say if mugs like us keep paying for it they will continue to do it - do we have a choice? I don't remember agreeing to pay anything towards it.
I agree that Wembley needs a decent pitch, but the amount of money involved could be so much better spent.

The very fact that the FA are in debt over Wembley is why the pitch needs to be relayed so often. All those other non-football events that the NW holds to pay back that debt is one of the main reason why it needs to be relayed.
Bang goes 2018 though.
