Garbage. We missed a pen to go 2-0 and then proceeded to chuck it all away. Very disappointing end to season.
Let's hope we ain't as bad as we've looked in the last 120 mins of football. Otherwise the 2 or 3 players we thought we needed can be changed to 10 or 11!!!!!

We started poorly, couldn't pass the ball to our own players couldn't take a free kick or a corner. We scored a lucky goal and Taylor managed to miss 3 good chances which a striker should take. For some reason beyond me we take off the lively Anthony Joseph and through Danny's persistance earn a penalty. Now who should take it? Sam Gargan has taken many.De Santos scored a good one in the semi final. No Taylor steps up and after what seems can infinity as he can't get the ball right on the penalty spot then kicks a feeble effort which the keeper easily saves. This galvanises the opposition and we then fall apart and concede two.
Thank God its the end of the season. No smile on our faces i'm afraid!

Firstly, I thought tonight would be a good way for the players to show us the fans how much we mean to them....
Secondly, the season ended for us at 2030 on 27th April the last match and a half just was a waste of time.
Thirdly, the managment could do well to watch the Supporters game next friday to see a team that wears the badge with pride on their shirts.
Just gutted tonight, as soon as Charlie Taylor missed the penalty it was game over for us at 1-0 and you could see the heads drop and the oppos rise. What is going on with us?
That'll do for now i'm trying very hard not to lose it here! So we're still in the Ryman Premier and no silverware again! Thought we were making history here and we did 26th final and still one behind Dulwich Hamlet (Have not been in a final since 1974/75!)
Oh the Pain......

I think Dos has been practising magic tricks at half time the last two games. The team keeps disappearing after 45 minutes. We could have done with the heart of BWG 2nd half. Why did Craig Dobson not play again?

Wonder what Dos's match comments will be like?

Although we were not great first half, you could not see that defeat coming at half time. Then Godalming started to put a bit of pressure on us but we still manage to get a penalty to go two up which should have been that.
Once that chance was missed, the game turned completely on its head and there was only one winner from then.
Very, very disappointing.

oh that was well worth sacrificing my principles for. Good company prior to match but it looked like the team did not give a sh*t when it started and 90 mins later not much changed my mind.

Who would have thought their keeper could raise his game so much second half? The ref as usual was sh-t, killing the game with his incessant whistling.

Did the club stop paying the team once the regular season ended at home to Billericay?

I thought AJ was awful. Why is it when a player has some pace, people think he is great, it is ok to be able to out pace defenders, but if you dont use the ball whats the point. I am sick of players with pace, but no footballing brain, no ability to cross a ball, no ability to find a yellow shirt or even to control a ball getting rave reviews. Aint good enough. Just my opinion.
Again, Hawes bros looked short on quality. In my book have to go. Why was Gargan stuck on the right most of second half?
Lets face facts how many clear cut chances from open play have we created in last 2 matches?? not many.
Full credit to Godalming, who clearly wanted it more. If anything they had a bigger disappointment than us in getting to their play-off final and losing, closer than we did, and they played sat and we had not. In second half they could have scored 5, i remember a couple of miss-kicks and an air shot all from easy range.
Poor. Very poor

Well what a week that was and maybe these last 2 games tell us of our frailties as both games had much in common. I am not going to get too upset about not winning the SSC but we could have done without a re-run of last week to end the season on.
Our approach play is the best in the RP and better then most BSS sides and clearly we had far more quality then Godalming but as we have seen twice in a week winning matches when the chips are down is down too something more. You have to score goals for a start and a good striker would have filled his boots tonight and I am afraid CT is not a good striker, excellent player but not a striker in a million years. We also don't do anywhere near enough to press the opposition when we are not in possession, we divide like the red sea and we lack pace at the back so a simple ball over the top causes us all sorts of problems. The situation is not helped by not having AJ fit and losing a player of Poulton's ability really showed tonight as we opened up like a sardine tin. We need a full time Poulton not a part time one, and its no coincidence that a similar thing happened last week when Poulton was not playing and Mckimm came off leaving us no steal in the midfield.
We are not actually bad at the back but lack cover for AJ and JG and showed tonight as well as last week. A fit AJ, JG, AP and a striker and we would be looking back at a entirely different last 7 days.
A disappointing note to end the season but if tonight means Dos is under no illusion of what needs to be done in the Summer then it may turn out to be better in defeat then a narrow victory?
I am going to guess that CT was given a chance to prove himself as a striker tonight by Dos and failed, and that is the only reason I can see Sam playing wide?
