I'd like to second the thanks given to the manager on the official site for his willingness to share his thoughts on every game. I've found his words to be open and honest throughout.
Let's hope next season we can achieve the target he has set and one which everyone connected to the club wants to see happen. I certainly believe he is taking us forward and is the right man to take us further.
It really isn't easy winning anything at this level. Let's hope we can hit the right formula. I'm sure if we get things right off the pitch we will get the success we crave sooner rather than later.

Totally agree, i'm not going to let us losing in the SSC bother me, not that big a competition anymore and most of the teams in it were almost trying to get knocked out from very early on.
I like Dos's comments about changing very little next season and bringing on youngsters.
I need the break now though, had more than enough for this season.

I totally agree and I think PD has been a breath of fresh air for the club. I know he will win us promotion back to where we belong.

I agree too!
It's been a very good season, but with a painful sting in the tail. The summer break will be a time for recovery and regrouping. I'm sure everybody will be raring to go when August comes around again.

Without making this a Dos "love in", I also agree with most of what is said above.
Reserves appeared to walk their league and looked very good when I went to see them this season which bodes well so I was pleased to hear that some may be given a chance.
Onwards and upwards. Here's to pre-season (although I think there is some international thing happening between now and then).

I totally agree and I think PD has been a breath of fresh air for the club. I know he will win us promotion back to where we belong. I'm not sure how you can say that, but good luck believing it. I do think he has the best chance of doing it, but we have failed twice now at the second to last hurdle. Sorry I'm still very angry and it is actually more about the Cup Final, which I felt they could have gone a long way in apologising for that second half display against K's, instead we cracked again.

Well I am not a big fan of the SSC and winning it would have done diddly squat for me and come no where close to any sort of appeasement. As for gaining promotion, yes we screwed it up in one poor second half performance for which the management has to take some responsibility for the tactics. But we came second, we are going to strengthen and will start next season, I am sure as favourites to win the league. I don't think I would want to swap our position for any else's in the RP, would you? Oh! and 2 FA Cup 1st rounds on the spin against league oppos is not bad either.

Putting my "peesimistic" hat on again. I will start thinking about how we will do next year once I know our 21 opponents. Lowestoft Town, Cambridge City, Croydon Athletic, Grays Athletic? Not to mention Wealdstone, Kingstonian, Tonbridge Angels...........

I would like to add, I meant to highlight "I know he will win us promotion".
I agree he has been a "breath of fresh air".

Cambridge City will probably be in the Southern league and maybe Lowestoft Town will go there also.

Sorry os It will take a lot longer for me to escape from under my duvet. BTW the quote of the week in the hours after our K's defeat - "Well darling, never mind it's only a game". My wife would never say that as she knows how I feel, however on the other hand Amber's squeeze doesn't!! ;D Sorry A but it had to be said. See I feel better already. As regards my previous post regarding our oppos next season, Cambridge City have been quoted as saying they would like to join the RPL.
