Not their fault is it? If clubs keep taking the piss and get slung out, what can they do?
BTW, I hear Worthing are in the doo doo as well apparently.....

Weston didn't have a great record so I would've thought a side relegated from bsn would be reprieved.
When I was down at Worthing for the fayc I chatted to their chair debs and she said they missed the Horsham moneybut surprised they're in trouble, don't know enough about it I suppose.

I would've thought a side relegated from bsn would be reprieved. Not likely - as both clubs due to be relegated from BSN (Harrogate and Vauxhall Motors) have already been reprieved. That was thanks to Chester City's demise and Northwich Victoria being slung out (for similar reasons to Salisbury) - although the Vics are appealing. Of the six sides dropping out of Blue Square, only Weymouth have actually been relegated. The other five either went bust during the season (Chester, Farsley Celtic), resigned (Grays) or are being expelled (Northwich, Salisbury).

...and at certain points during the season it was possible that Weymouth could have done something similar to the other 5 dropping out.
It s a bit of a farce when this happens isn't it?

Is this a reprieve for FGR?

I believe this does mean a reprieve for FGR.
BTW, as far as Weymouth were concerned, they were out as well had they not finished dead last in BSS as they too have an ongoing 'insovency event'.

Salisbury are appealing against their expulsion. Final decisions won't be taken until the Conference AGM on 12 June. That could be an interesting meeting.

It is. The rule they were binned on was one that the FA told the Conference to tighten up last season as it was seen to be a bit too wooly & open to interpretation. The Conference did so and the FA agve their approval.
Hence they'll appeal, but it'll probably fail.
There is a rumour that the way they 'paid' all their debts was by paying a bit to the creditors, which was enough to persuade them to issue credit notes for the remainder to SCFC & then re-invoice the remaining amounts to another company, seperate from the football club.
That way, SCFC technically owes zilch but 'AN Other (SCFC) Ltd' owes a fair few quid.
Dunno how true that is though!
