Oh Ratty, you do take things personally.
Would it be fair to say that when you were in the Ryman League, there were a lot of other clubs/supporters who didn't like you for no other reason that you were a bigger club with better crowds than them?

Apart from the obvious shame of you knowing Cher lyrics OS, isn't that something more akin to Lewes rather than AFC. At least AFC had the heritage of Wimbledon to draw on. Lewes have the Dripping Pan!

I find all this rather ironic to say the least. Especially Taz's comment as you can take that to apply to Wimbledon as well as the three examples given And, need I point out, that many of you regarded us as arrogant, a view it appears that many of your peers now apply to you. So if you're prepared to dish it out, you have to take it in the same way. At the end of the day, it's all tosh of course, but please see the irony TBH Ratty, I was thinking more of sides who'd been away & come back, but had always been around this sort of level. However, it would apply to AFC as well. But it's a much more obvious example. 3000 crowds with support that had been watching a Premier League team barely several years before means you were always going to be disliked by the other 'villagers'. I think to fit you into my analogy, you'd have to have come back & bought the old manor house up on the hill & turned it into a luxury hotel. ;D My point was that whether you're BBB or not doesn't actually matter. I reckon if Bhuddist Peace & Love to all Mankind Wanderers played in the Isthmian, got promoted and then came back down, the other clubs would sneer at them and give it the "Ooooh look, the big time charlies are back with their meditating & silly robes!" routine.

Lewes have the Dripping Pan! I like a lot of Cher's stuff you can tell by her song 'Gipsy's Tramps and Thieves' she obviously knows about a bit about Essex football As for AFCW, the problem with them is that they think, they played in the Premier league and won the FA Cup but in truth they are just a new team started by some disgruntled supporters. I don't have any problem with that but they are yet to make any history of their own? As for Lewes, I now feel sorry for them, they don't have much left now the outlaws have ridden out of town.
