A really superb match at the weekend. Dare I say it better to watch than the one in Madrid. Ian Holloway is a thoroughly pleasant manager and I only wish that there were more like him in the game, and more teams playing attacking football like Blackpool. I'm sure they'll be relegated by Christmas but I wish them all the luck.

I tried to watch it in between beers, but failed spectacularly. Heard it was a brilliant game.

I managed to watch it in between beers Sal and can confirm it was a brilliant game. Far better than the dross I watched later... although I may not have enjoyed the CL final cos I was half cut.

My dad's been a Blackpool supporter since the 1930s (before the Stanley Matthews era, as he reminded me) and is understandably thrilled that they're back in the top flight. I also work with a Cardiff City supporter, who was at Wembley on Saturday and is suitably despondent. Triumph and diasater. That's football! And yes, most importantly of all, it was a great game.

Cardiff must hate Wembley and wish the play offs were still at the Millenium!

It was a great game with some fantastic goals.
No doubt by October it will all be about defending in order to nick a pint here or there, but hopefully the enthusiasm of Holloway will see them through.
Much rather Blackpool get promoted and come straight down than Cardiff get promoted just to please their creditors

Don't be ridiculous. I can't see over the top of a pint glass - that's much too tall for me!

I just am still in shock and need therapy again. Losing in a POSF twice in one season is too much for any (in)sane football supporter. K's and Cardiff both got to the POF but then fell at the last. I was alway a fan of the play offs when Leicester kept doing it from 6th spot (we had never lost in a POSF before) but now I am annoyed that a team managed by our ex, and useless, manager now sits in the PL. We beat them twice in the league and if Charlie Adams had not been playing they would have been in the bottom half. WTF was he doing going there? He must be psychic !! Good luck to them (gritting teeth) and at least we will get some great after match interviews next season after each Blackpool defeat and also at least that little cheat Chopra had tears at the end. ;D
