Good evening folks, I was just here to enquire about Sam Gargan.
I see he's 6ft 3, but how would you describe him as a striker?
He's rumoured to be trialling with us in the summer.

Sorry about that, it was late...
He's rumoured to be coming up here to trial for us; Port Vale.
I hear he would command a fee though, and usually knowing us... that rules us out straight away.

Decent player. Has ability, but not an out & out striker. Good luck to him! As for a fee, I doubt it would be huge!

I thought he was a decent player too. He's not a 20 goals a season striker, but especially good at the top of a 4-5-1 formation. Quite a strong player too. Wouldn't be a bad acquisition but not sure if he's ready for PV's level - perhaps in the reserves and loaned out to a BSN/S side.

Brilliant, thanks folks.
Does he have any pace at all? Micky doesn't tend to play slouches.
I'm just trying to see where he fits in, I would imagine if he is a big strong lad, he would be a good foil for Marc Richards.
He's got a trial I understand, as has Chamal Fenelon, so it might be interesting to see how he does.

Sam would've probably been at Brighton at the same time as MA so that must be the link.
Good player, needs to get himself fully fit over the summer. When you see the amount of playrs going into league football from this level I don't see why Sam can't raise his game for that standard.

Sam has a good shot,is strong but not always brave.I wouldn't describe him as pacey but can hold the ball up well.Still young for a striker and improving.I liked him but he wasn't everyones cup of tea. I believe he could play at Vale's level and would be sorry to lose him.

Port Vale would be a great move up for him if it comes off so good luck to Sam.
If it doesnt happen for some reason (the fee has been mentioned already) then I would be pleased to see him back here next season.
