Some pen pics I've found for the names mentioned.* *-Subject to confirmation of course from HonSec\CoSec. Ahem.
Sam Page. An MK Dons youngster who made two appearances for the first team, scoring against Brighton in the Johnson Paints Trophy. Subsequently released by Paul Ince, Sam played for Hendon before becoming Horsham’s captain in the Summer of 2008. A top quality centre half.
Tom Davis (couldn't find a Davies!) Tom began his career as a junior with Fulham before a move to Gravesend (now Ebbsfleet). A former England non-league international, he became an influential member of the St. Albans City side that won promotion to the Conference and this prompted Lewes to shell out an undisclosed record fee to bring him to the Dripping Pan where he won a Conference South championship medal in 2007/8. And when Steve King's side broke up this summer, Terry Brown moved quickly to land this creative, passing midfielder to the AFC Wimbledon ranks.
Fola Orilonishe Brought into the club by Manager Hakan as another recruit from Waltham Forest in the summer of 2007, where he made 82 appearances. A product of Barking Abbey youth system an excellent left winger where his pace wide on the flanks is always a threat and has scored some splendid goals only superseded by his spectacular celebrations. Made his 100th appearance for Thurrock on 31st October 2009 at home against Staines Town.

Seems Davis & Adeji were AFCW's Conf South winning CM partnership as well. So that's good for continuity as they should already know each other well. Oh and welcome back Dundo!!

And indeed, goodbye Cobbsy, Quarm and Gargan. Conf South standard players who were no doubt fully confident of being in the Conf South this coming season... Shame we fucked it up eh lads? Best of luck to all three of them. Top gents, top players. Anybody else looking forward to giving Der Fuhrer's Red Robin toybox a sound thrashing with two of their heroes in our line up?

I was just reading about Dowson reckoning that we will do a Dartford. I'm not going to say if hes right or wrong, but he saying that Margate and Billericay will run close. Billericay I can understand in terms of how good their defence was last season, but Margate? Only in the division by default? Have they had a massive spending spree thats not been reported?

Dundo is a master at winning the ball in the air and holding it up, my complaint last time was he needed a partner on his shoulder which we never had.
I just want to see us play a settled side from about 3 or 4 friendless in and hit the season running, none of this loads of different players trialing etc.

Gonna be a great attacking force, but hopefully Forbes also join us to make it even better.

Well chuffed about getting Dundo back. When he's on song he's almost unstoppable. Heard of Orilonshie, a regular scorer & Sam Page would be a huge signing. He was superb for Horsham against us last season. I'm surprised though as the Horsham forum had suggested he'd agreed to stay at Goring's Mead (is the ' ok there Millsy - I'm not sure if it's a plural Goring or one of ownership?).
Tom Davis was an integral member of St Albans' successful midfield alongside Hakim and Hann. I think he was the guy with the long hair who we loved to hate!
Shame that Cobbsy & FQ aren't staying though but Dos has been quick to plug the gap as Co Sec suggested he might be last week.
Looks like we will have pace, strength & guile. Add that to a back 4 of Kes, JG, Page & Bray with Perks also available we may well be stronger this season than last. There is all the youth of Jerson & Jazz to add to the squad. Let's hope it all gells.
Good luck to those who have left. They all put in a great shift for U's last season.

Goring's Mead (is the ' ok there Millsy - I'm not sure if it's a plural Goring or one of ownership?). If it's a plural then there most definitely wouldn't be an apostrophe, unless the signwriter is a greengrocer! What is it with people pluralising words with an apostrophe? Anyway, maps show the spelling as "Goring's Mead" - I have no idea on the etymology so will hazard a guess that once upon a time it was a little lane that led to Mr Goring's house. It became famous for that is where he sold his well known honey wine, or mead if you will. Henceforth it became known as the road required for procurement of Goring's Mead.

I have got to be honest here and say I don't understand a bleeding word of that Mr Mills (well apart from the house bit that is)

Alternative definition of Mead noun [ Anglo-Saxon mǣd . ] A meadow. « A mede All full of freshe flowers, white and reede.» Chaucer. « Therefore a meadow owned by the Goring family maybe.
