That would make more sense of course, meadow becoming a playing field etc. I prefer my waffle though

Really excited about the new season, wish the WC will come and go quickly so we can get started lol. Best wishes to all of our departing players, hope you find new clubs and I will look out for your progress. COME ON SUTTON.

To be fair, the Guardian broke the news first and our piece does say that the signings of Orilonishe and Page are subject to agreeing a fee with their clubs.
Not like we've done a Real Madrid and said "We're signing that Sam Page from Horsham" when we've not even spoken to the bloke....

I'm sorry but if the local press say something like that, I feel the club is obliged to give a statement giving the real story (the guardian has been known occasionally to get things out of context), and that's what they have done. So let Horsham be a bit tinpot and stamp their feet. I'm sure they've never done anything similar.

All that says is that they've retained his reg & that he wasn't released. It even says anyone wanting his services would need to approach the club formally.......which we've done!
Ho hum.

They're moving from FT to PT for next season, so most likely that's why Tom is on his way....

They're moving from FT to PT for next season, so most likely that's why Tom is on his way.... And probably why other names like Jamies Hand and Slabber have been released too. As for Quarm, its probably the right move for him. I think he would be a Sutton player if we got promoted, but that wasn't the case. Good luck to the fella, as said before, there was no coincidence that our good 2nd half of a season run started when he joined.

As for Quarm, its probably the right move for him. I think he would be a Sutton player if we got promoted, but that wasn't the case. I got no problem with FQ leaving if he wants to and he did say he was looking to play higher when he joined us, but I do see it as a bit short sighted. To change your team for just one level above and leave where you have done well in a side tipped for promotion, does not really seem so fantastic to me? Another thing I went to Lewes today and heard more about Sutton United on Sussex Radio then I do here, its shocking I have to travel 50miles to hear about my local team

Didn't FQ come to Sutton cos he couldn't find a CS team that wanted him at the time?
