I would just like to add that it is not a bad move for Sonny as plenty of players are interested in joining us down at Lewes which clearly suggests that the managment team and club are doing the right things. The reason for our attendances dropping are that in those statistics the season before we were in the blue square premier dont forget and when you get huge away fans travelling with teams like oxford then it can boost your attendance by a consideral amount. Also that year we had our local derby with Eastbourne wheras the season just gone we were in different leagues and didnt have that huge gate to boost our attendance either. We are actually getting gates of around 400-500 now especially near the end of the season. Also the ground is not owned by us anyway, we have not given our floodlights away it was just that to stay in the blue square premier they would have had to be made better which dosn't matter now. When you say that Lewes dont have any chance of promotion so there is no point is Sonny being here then you are right and wrong. You are right that we dont have a good chance of promotion at all but the managmet team have told sonny that if he can do well and attract the interest of bigger and better clubs then they will not stand in his way.

I am glad if Lewes is now being well run, I only know what is set out in the mortgage document and not what may have happened outside that. It states that all assets and all future profits are to go to the lender, this was only to cover the first payment to HMRC, so I have no idea what happened about the 2nd payment? As for the move itself apart from the fact Sonny lives down there I still see no logic in it and don't really understand your statement: You are right that we dont have a good chance of promotion at all but the managmet team have told sonny that if he can do well and attract the interest of bigger and better clubs then they will not stand in his way. In our RP season's our record of attracting 'bigger teams' to our players is far better then Lewes's is? We have also had 2 1st round FA Cup ties against league opposition. Incidentally the Sussex Express is quoting Sonny as a left back?

So bloody what! He's gone, it's his decision, so what's the point going on about it?

A higher division side and far less travelling. Sounds like 2 very good reasons to move! Good luck to him. Wouldn't rule him out coming back at some point in the future if things don't work out football wise for him.

Yeah, but there is always the danger of labouring a point!

I see no logic in that move at all? They have no money, have given all their assets away including the floodlights, no chance of promotion, and the fan base has dwindled to @300. He cannot even be sure of being paid every week and if the club is suppose to get a fee from Lewes for him I wouldn't hold your breath. One of the most stupid moves of the summer if you ask me??? But you still play at the dripping pan. nuff said Can I just say that Lewes have not got money problems anymore and are probably one of the safer clubs in the BSS, we haven't sold anything and our average attendance is over 500. We have paid the players every week without fail and may have some people putting some more money into the club. We have also restructured how the club is run with completely new people so no more Martin Elliot possibly. Also I do think he will be used more as a covering Left Back if needed not as a full time left back and we have one already.
