I expect we should smack this lot 2-0. 3-0 would be sweeter.

Vern, will there ever be a game we shouldn't win easily?
I'll give this one a miss and wait for the proper action to begin. A tenner for a pre season game seems ridiculous (save for games like Sat vs decent league opposition).

Also cash flow out of season is of vital importance.

Agreed on the price, £10 is way too much for a friendly. Should keep the gate down though.

Why cos people will think there is nothing riding on the game especially when its against a team like Staines! no disrespect to them but there not in the same class as Southampton or Fulham had we got them! But a lower price - could bring in more people to watch the game which means as much money and if theres a good atmosphere it'll bring these people back for games during the main season when we could require them the most for the backend of the season!

Why is it too expensive? I am an OAP and I pay willingly. Of course it is an extra free game if you buy an early season ticket.

You have no outgoings apart from some Tesco Value kippers, single-serve tins of pease pudding and the odd bag of Werther's Originals. The rest of us have families to feed, and the idea of shelling out £170 for a season ticket is way out.

Exactly, and a little less High-Viz Fascism would have the differential made up in drinks sold. Actually having the burgers and chips ready to serve at half-time would be another winner too, rather than frying to order.

Why would anyone need burger and/or chips at half past eight at night ? What meal does this count as ? This always puzzles me - especially at evening games.

You never escape from that. ;D Oh and something else I forgot I worked damn hard when I had a job so got a decent pension. Not Civil Service btw.
