Nearly back home now....all sounds very promising for the season ahead and I'm itching to get back into the football again after 12(ish) months away
I've tried to keep updated through here as much as possible, but I've still got millions of unread threads - what have I missed out on in summary?
Not that I'm particularly bothered, but is there any particular reason for the rest of the league apparently hating us? I find it almost flattering ;D
Hope to see you all at Worthing on Saturday!

We f*cked up in the play-offs. Weston got reprieved again. So did FGR. Crawley have spent Liberia's national defecit on players this summer. Hamlin is now at K's. Ug is at Toots. Dundo is back. Rose's has been redecorated. Fulham f*cked us over a friendly, Southampton didn't. We've bought the league apparently & The rest of the Ryman league has always hated us you silly billy. We've got to go to Canvey twice. The new dugouts are unpopular. Jared is also back on saturday as well, so no one will notice you. I'm not going to Worthing. Nor is Greek. Jolly hasn't scored yet. Think that's pretty much it. Although if I've missed owt, others should feel free to contribute.

I find it almost flattering ;D Finances in order, proper ground (well, we have a proper main stand and actual terracing!), the fact we have played at a higher level than nearly all the clubs, the fact people have heard of us, the fact that somehow, we have one of the higher average attendances in the league, Doswell's love him or hate him charm, the fact we're usually up there, local rivalry, the blazer and tie thing, the fact we've bought the league, perceived arrogance. Pick any combination of the above Either way I find it hilarious that a pokey club from a London suburb who got on the telly once can ignite such dislike but the there you go Welcome back anyway! It's still sh*t but we held off promotion until you and Jared got back

Once ?
Leeds, Middlesbrough, Coventry as the main highlights game. Numerous others as supporting highlights.

Allows us to be all superior and look down our noses at all the other pikey outfits that visit our palatial country retreat.
Either that or fancy dress I reckon.

Most visiting officials wear a jacket and tie. We just have more of them. Oh and they all put a lot of time into helping run the club. ;D

What have you missed?
On the pitch - an enjoyable season with lots of good football played; a nice FA Cup run; Play-Off heartbreak.
Off the pitch - the progress of the Football Development Plan; a determination to go forwards.
