Considering the sending off, we should have done better. Saying that, 2 wins out of 3, no losses and no goals conceded is a very good start.

Another good win although again had the chances to win by 2/3 but defence looked top class again although hope AJs not gonna be out for to long... The ref and the lino on the side opp dugouts were awful most of the game and at 1 point they just looked at each other and neither gave a decision! Thought we could and should have had a penalty again!

I'm not sure about the penalty. On balance I would have given it, but I can see why the ref didn't. It wasn't a full challenge and our man went down quite easily. The ball was nowhere near though so the FI player cannot argue that he was going for it.

sdavison89 - may I be so bold as to ask you if you are related to Stan Davison, SUFC stalwart who use to run the Supporters' Club coaches?

I just don't understand some of the officials, how that was not a penalty amazes me, inside the box, challenge nowhere near the ball and takes the player what other decision is there? Also the defender who had our player in a arm lock for 10 yards until he finally pulled him over just outside the box, no free kick and no card?? All I can say is my eyes must be going :-(
As for the game we did enough, it should have been more but too many wasted situations with wrong options taken. Delivery from crosses is poor with us just having the one headed effort, Fola is fantastic on the ball and has pace to burn but has to deliver a meaningful final ball if it is to count for anything. You can see Jolly is a revved up engine ready to bang in the goals but the service to him needs to improve. At the back we look strong and in command although if AJ and SD both miss Monday we will have a hole to fill. 7pts 3 games is where we need to be, but some fine tuning is needed to get this baby fully in gear we will not always get 6 or 7 opportunities to score a goal. Winning this league means being clinical week in week out for 9 months 2 or 3 good openings have to relate to a goal on the board.

A scrappy game in front of 503 people with far too many hold ups.Kes prevented them taking the lead early on.Jolly scored with a miskick.I think he will get the goals that will prove the difference between the lottery that is the play offs and winning the league. He almost got another with a quick turn and shot.BWG when presented with a great chance a few yards out failed to control it.

Our sat attendance really lower than Tues? Disappointing. Hope we take 300 at least to Tooting.

Very little away support...probably 30 at most.

We started much as we left off on Tuesday, and after Jolly tucked away the goal it looked as if we might win comfortably. But in the end we were just grateful for the three points.
We weren't able to take advantage of the dismissal of Folkestone's no.6 (their player of the year last season!), and the sight of Dunford and Watts playing keep-ball by the corner flag in the final minute was telling. By then we'd lost both our left-sided defenders to injury, and as a result were down to ten men ourselves, so preserving the slender advantage was all-important.
I thought Folkestone were a better side than reports on this site had suggested - their no.9 (Jones) looked useful as did their no.2 (Vincent) who got forward well from the right back position. But they did look suspect at the back, and we should have profited by more than a single goal - though the officials must take a share of the blame for that.

Very little away support...probably 30 at most. There were even less Horsham fans on Tuesday night though.

Regarding the attendence, It is a bank holiday weekend I suppose so some may be away for long weeked and there was only a few that made it from Folkstone. From talking to a couple of the away fans, I think a few more may have given up halfway here as most of them arrived a bit late due to the M25.
As for the game, I agree with much of what was said above. Wrong pass chosen in midfield on occasions when there seemed better placed players available (often alone out wide) and not the greatest of final balls when we did get past them.
We still made a good few chances though and someone is going to get a bit of a hiding soon if we keep playing like this. No goals conceded yet and joint top of the league. Can't be bad and if we get a good result at Tooting, I think we will be able to consider it a great start.
Many more positives than negatives at the moment I think.
