From talking to a couple of the away fans, I think a few more may have given up halfway here as most of them arrived a bit late due to the M25. Yea, there were two major jams along the way I understand.

On a more somber note, spoke with Alan Payne after the game who confirmed that AJ id definately out for Monday's game with a knee injury . Also, Downer went off with a hamstring problem , so I doubt he'll be fit for Tooting either. Dos and Al will have some thinking to do. Deserved, if not pretty victory, but at the cost of 2 players. Could have gone better for us.

Couldn't Perks come back for a one-off game or two?

My concerns were about the Downer and Bray injuries. Seeing Simon rubbing his leg brought bad thoughts about his knees. AJs injury I assume is a recurrence of hs earlier problems.

As stated before from speaking with Alan Payne, injuries were as follows.
AJ: Knee Downer: Hamstring
Neither were related to previous problems. Don't know if that's good or bad.

Have to say that Folkestone produced a good performance at the Lane yesterday. They should have scored a minute before we took the lead and missed another chance just before half time.
I din't see the rd card incident so can't comment. FI's manager Neil Cugley was less than happy according to the report in the NLP but he can thank yer another appalling refereeing performance that we didn't get a second half penailty & that his no 4 was not red carded after grabbing hold off Richard Jolly when he had through and eventually pulling him to the ground.
This was the ref we had at Havant in pre-season. It wasn't an off-day for him he was crap then too. It is beyond me what these guys think they are looking at. It's all very well being fit and able to keep up with play but what's the point if the decision process going through the head malfunctions on a regular basis?
Still, three points and a clean sheet onto a toughy at Tooting.

Infact it wasn't the same ref as at Havant. Apparently yesterday's ref was down to do the Havant game but then had to pull out of it, but the teamsheet handed round at Havant before kick off still had his name on it.

Our sat attendance really lower than Tues? Disappointing. Hope we take 300 at least to Tooting. Bank holiday weekend. I know a few regulars who were going to be away. Plus there were some wasters who turned up late................. Anyway for the bits of the game I was actually there for, we were the dominent team in terms of posession and chances but we didn't make them count. It was frustrating, but it doesn't matter if you win ugly, as long as you win. 7 points from a possible 9 is great form, and Jolly is scoring regularly now. A word about the officials, I thought the ref was, shall I say, 'Interesting'. How he can justify not giving a foul when Jolly was man-handled on his way through to goal is beyond me. But hey, a win is a win.
