I spotted a couple of interesting stories in today's NLP.
Histon, who have already had to slash their budget, are facing more financial woe after some trees were cut down at their stadium. Unfortunately, the trees had preservation orders. It seems the work was carried out by some travellers who have now, er, disappeared. The club could be fined £20,000, which might just finish them off.
St Albans - who've had their own tree troubles in the past - are now being investigated by the FA for alleged off-the-books payments to their players. This was got Boston United into hot water several seasons ago. If found guilty the Saints could face a fine and points deduction. Their Chairman has "no comment to make at this time".

Poor old Histon. Although they were always going to come down to earth with a bump when their main income source left St Albans is another matter This is not the first time they have been "in trouble"
