Didn't make it today - how did we play today over at Margate? Untimely slip-up thats for sure. We now have a large chasing pack!

Just back we certainly did not play anywhere near our best but we had our chances to score 4 or 5 but squandered them, with Jolly looking somewhat out of sorts. We missed Davis and our defence looked the most shaky it has all season. Credit to Margate they looked dangerous going forward, their first a OG from SD when he turned the ball past a helpless Kev, our equaliser a hook over the keeper from Kennedy from about 6 yards out. We took control for a while at the start of the second half and Bradley put away a superb free kick from the edge of the D to put us 2-1 up. We failed to capitalise and Margate equalised from a free kick in a similar position, no blame on Kev. The game was pretty even from then on and could have gone either way but Margate's Wilson latched on to a pass about 20 yards out and gave it one almighty belt, the ball hit the underside of the bar again Ken no chance. From then we huffed and puffed but rarely looked liked getting back on terms.
It was not a terrible performance and Margate have to get some credit, but we looked tired and the squad looked stretched today. There was space on that pitch that you cannot help feeling a fresher U's side would have enjoyed.

Good to see Kennedy score. Don't say we never give you anything!
And someone (Taz?) needs to turn the clock back an hour on this forum ...
That is all

Why did we take Jolly off and put a full back on?

TBH, I think we've defended better this season, but apart from giving away a silly FK, an OG and a screamer, we didn't do a great deal wrong TBH.
Entertaining game with 5 goals & 4 of them absolute belters meant we got our money's worth.
Fair play to Margate, whilst not spectacular they stuck at it and gave us a game. Thought a draw was probably about the fairest result, but they won it with a fantastic effort.
One of those days really. We've played far far worse this season & got points. Will do again.

Delboy, we took Jolly off, pushed Ebsworth up to left midfield, Ronayne went left back, Dundas moved up front from midfield and then Macca came on ay right back and Karl Murray moved up to right wing. It made sense if you were there! Hope you followed that though!

Good game today and the hosts proved tough oponents as they did at the 'Lane earlier this season. After a bright start by U's Simon Downer's error of judgment gave them the lead. U's looked at their best when playing on the floor and a fine moe resulted in Kennedy's equaliser. U's took the lead rom a great free-kick by BWG only for Wilson to reply in kind for 'Gate. The then lashed home what proved to be the winner with an unstoppable shot from distance.
My one issue with their winner was our failure to close the fellow down but you cannot take away from his finish; it was not unlike BWG's goal against Harrow.
I think we missed Tom Davis today. I reckon a draw would have been the fair result but 'gate played well today and it was one of those days when we didn't quite click - wel not enough anyway.
