Not the greatest of days but you cannot win them all and there were some great goals by both sides. I do think we could have tried to take the initiative a bit more at times but credit to Margate who have proved twice this season now to be a decent side.
Lets not get too down on ourselves. Hopefully we can progress in the trophy next week and then kick on again in the league.

The first time this season we've let in three. After Downer's o.g. the two sides traded four excellent goals, two free kicks and two from open play. I don't think we defended particularly badly, it was just one of those days when the opposition were a bit more inspired than us.

I didn't witness it apart from through the wonders of twitter - its like teletext for the 21st century that! Seems like it was one of those days to be honest, We will get them, and we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves. Margates ground has never been a good place for us to get 3 points and so it proved today. We are of course, still top, K's need to win their game in hand by 5 clear goals to go top, and Lowestoft have to win their 2 as well. It's a hiccup, not a disaster.
Now of course we have 10 days free from league action - possibly 14 days if we draw with Billericay next Saturday.
Dust ourselves down and get on with it - we've just come off the bad of 3 straight wins and no goals conceeded in the league. We knew we were not going to do a Dartford or Dover this year and win the title by March. Lets put it down to experience, and move on to the next game

Hi all!
What a game - a great spectacle to commentate on and so much mutual admiration! I think a lot of us thought your were the best side we've seen this season (a frustration for us given our league position). I know it's a long season, but you look pretty well equipped to go all the way this time round. Good luck for the rest of the season any way. Cheers, Wellsie.

No complaints here about the result we had our chances in what was a good match, at 2-2 I though one side would go on and win. I think we said before at GGL you look like a decent side to us and no reason why you cannot make the playoffs on the evidence of your 2 games against us. Good luck for the next of the season.

It seems to be something we need to work on,closing people down ,more than once this season teams have scored, because the defenders stand to far off enabling opponents to get a clear shot on goal.
