Looks like their 'disallowed goal' at about 7 minutes could well have been offside.

Looks like BWG gestured to the Wealdstone supporters at the final whistle!

Looks like BWG gestured to the Wealdstone supporters at the final whistle! I've watched it a couple of time, and it does look like BWG did do something to cause something. What I don't understand is that BWG is probably our nicest player - has a very good temper and is good-natured. It also looked like when the Wealdstone supporter in all blue went running in BWG's direction, then other players went to back him up. Certainly not, from the video' ALL of the sutton staff and players going to wind up the Wealdstone supporters' TO be honest thought I was still a bit punchdrunk from the previous 2 mins play, so I had no idea what happened till I read it on the board here later!

I suspect it was in response to what was said in the first half. A bit silly really but as I said earlier no doubt pumped up about winning a game in such a fashion.
Great highlights though. Great goal from Spendlove, appalling linesman decision in the first half, and what a difference a good delivery into the box makes. Great header by Page but Ebs corner was spot on as for once Massey was unable to defend it & Sam headed home.

No 11 was off-side when ball played but stopped running to allow a player to come from deep. However when the ball was put in the box good old no 11 was in 6 yard box and could have tucked it away. Would that not have been off-side?

Yeah, I thought that as well Filbert. At the time, it looked a tight decision, but having seen the vid the 11 is well off when the ball is played, but is coming back. Yet as soon as play catches up with him, he immediately rejoins the attack.
Thing is though, the lino only flags when the other lad (the no8?) touches the ball. Which seems to indicate he's the man deemed offside. Which would be wrong. Cos he wasn't.
I dunno. I wish they'd just flag at the offence like they used to and not wait for someone to actually play the ball. Just confuses things.

I don't think the 11 would have been. Something to do with second phase.

Women's Lib, fed up at being chastised over this law and pilloried for years, infiltrated Sepp Blatter's inner sanctum and devised this cunning rule change. An act motivated by revenge, pure and simple.

The trouble with all these rules is they are all open to interpretation, seen a couple of Arsenal matches recently, a few weeks ago Arsenal got a player sent off as last man when the guy was on the touchline 40 yards from goal, then last Sat against Villa, John Carew 5yards offside blocking Fabianski's view and the goal is given? Then for our 2nd penalty against Ricay we are arguing if he is running slightly away from goal etc. The rules or at least their application don't make much sense to me

They are laws not rules. And it is all about application. One week a tackle will be a yellow, the next red. It will depend on the ref and his angle of vision.
As for the offside law; bad enough with neutral qualified assistants but a nightmare on a Sunday morning, believe me. How is the fifth sub or bloke who turns up to watch meant to know the laws? Makes it bloody difficult for refs, I can tell you.
