I know it may be a tad premature but any idea if the game's likely to go ahead?
I'm due to work til 8 and there's no point in swapping shifts about if there ain't gonna be a game.

We obviously won't know until much nearer the time but I'd guess the smart money is on it being quite doubtful. On a Saturday you can carry out a morning inspection knowing that the temperature is likely to rise as the day wears on, but for a midweek evening game the opposite is true. Anyway, I hope it's off because I can't get there

It looks like the frost has come out of the ground so i guess that it is all going to depend upon how much snow falls tomorrow.

I'd say both tomorrow night's game and Saturday's trip to Hendon are in doubt. There's a shedload of snow expected tonight and tomorow the temperature's forecast to stay around freezing point all day. The cold spell is expected to last at least until next weekend with sharp frosts overnight.
Still, as CoSec rightly says, we won't know until the day itself. Many might have expected the Wealdstone match to be called off but it got played.

A shedload of snow ironically may allow the game to be played - if it falls before the frost sets in, then it will insulate the pitch and stop it from freezing up!

So who'd volunteer to help clear the snow off the pitch? ;D

If it is on it would be a good opportunity to go 9 points clear of our title rivals!

After calling off a game yesterday & looking at the weather forecast, there's bugger all chance of tomorrow being on. It will freeze over before the snow comes and all that will do is protect the frost in the ground.

I think if the pitch is frozen now theres no chance of any thaw and as said above any snow now will just hold the frost in
