Home tie against a side from the Blue Square South North. I would have preferred a long away trip. This is, of course, providing we get past Eastleigh in the replay!

Home tie against a side from the Blue Square South. Being pedantic - they're Blue Square North now....currently sitting 16th Winnable....

A good opportunity to progress well in to the competition. Although that could prove to be a mixed blessing.

I don't think we're going to win it and it's not the priority this year, so a trip somewhere out of the ordinary would have been nice. Still, we're perfectly capable of losing on Tuesday and that wouldn't break my heart.

Well I really hope we do get through. It's not like we have a fixture backlog or anything. A great chance to progress to the later stages and get some decent crowds and national press. We don't get this opportunity very often and you never know when the next one might come about.
Then at least if we don't win promotion we have still had something to cheer. In all honesty the Ryman league is very hard to win and at this stage I wouldn't put any money on us. I hope that changes!

We potentially have two home matches against sides from a level above us. Two wins would earn us £11k in prize money. Have you thought about how hard it is to make that sort of money in any other way ? We'd need to increase bar takings by around £30k or find eleven new members of the Super Sponsors Club.
I understand the fixture congestion angle (I used to be fixture secretary don't forget), but on balance I'd be disappointed to lose tomorrow.

Granted this is an excellent draw for us but we can't really look any further than tomorrow nights replay which is massive. I know the focus is on the league - but I'm enjoying this Trophy run and don't want it to end tomorrow. Up the U's
AFC got another home draw I see.

The focus now has to be on the replay, and I'm sure the Sutton players will be keen to prove a point having come so close to winning at Eastleigh on Saturday.
If we do get through, we'd have a second Trophy tie against a team from Worcestershire. We'd have to rearrange the League fixture at home to Concord, but I'd be fairly relaxed about playing that one midweek later in the season.

No problem Mr K ! 2 stops to Oxford Circus and a 5 minute walk to that rather large construction site.

Always funny when you bump into people related to Sutton on the escalators at Charing X tube when you least expect to and shout their name out....
Anyway back to tomorrow. WIN! Hopefully the niggles will be out of the way, inc Downer, who was another who had a good game on Saturday. To quote a football game on a PC "Sutton showed they were no pushovers", and I hope we can do it again. I'm sure the players will be up for it esp Andy Forbes, who really would want to score against his old club!

15th Jan is a long way away even if we can get a result tomorrow and many league games between. As for tomorrow I genuinely feel its anyone's game, we have been to their patch and come back with a draw, they come to us feeling that can play better but they come to a side who's home form has been impressive.
In 12 months time this could be an average league match with pretty similar personnel on both sides, and in truth we would be looking for the 3pts.
