A better all round performance compared to Saturday. We were a little unlucky not to snatch it, with some good shots on target in the 2nd half. The conditions were appaling with players sliding all over the place.
A very well deserved MoM for Mr Tanner. Having Craig, Scarbs and Warren back made a difference in our attack.
Not the best result we've ever had, but not too much to grumble about. Saturday will be a test

some good shots on target in the 2nd half. I can only remember one, Tanner's free kick. Not much point having the lion's share of the ball if we don't use it to shoot at goal!

"Forgettable" is the word that springs to mind! Played in driving rain, with both sides struggling to muster a shot on target.
The best moments were late in the game. A St Albans player tried a snap shot from the left wing that curled just wide of Phil's far post. And right at the death Craig Tanner took a free kick from about 25 yards that their keeper tipped over the bar.
At least we've now got a point! And it was good to see Watkins, Scarborough and Bray all playing, plus Paul Honey recovered from Saturday.

I'm with the Aleman here. Couple of decent chances towards the end, good free kick from Tanner. I thought the monsoon weather was over, wrong what a night!

I agree with Aleman above about it being forgettable. Was a definite improvment on Saturday, but that was going to be a given with Scarborough, Watkins and Bray in the team and McBean starting from the beginning. We did have the majority of chances on goal, but we didn't force their 'keeper in to making to many saves. Still it was a improvment, something that can be worked upon for Bromley.

I actually think that was a very good performance against a side who were in the Conference last season, they are no mugs and I think we were the better of the 2 sides. Defensively we looked solid we got forward well but were missing that cutting edge infront of goal. Definite penalty for me on Warren, I saw the foot come out heard the contact of boot on boot stone wall pen? We need someone to play as an out and out striker then we will score goals and I would expect us to more then hold our own in this league.

I think that 'forgettable' is very harsh. Much better performance against a side that looked miles stronger and fitter than Basingstoke.
The pace of the game was much faster and we were perhaps unlucky not to score and nick it overall.
Would like to see Craig W play up front, out and out with Warren, can't make the most of him wide right. Hudson was my man of the match, another commanding performance from him.

Miserable buggers! I actually quite enjoyed the game! Played at a good pace, although lacking in real chances and thought both sides knocked it about quite well. Far better than saturday and my only real gripe was that we seemed to want to walk the ball into the net (1st half especially). Why didn't someone get their head down and have a pop on that surface? Deserved the win I thought, but hey, was the 1st game we had Scooby Watkins and Warren on the pitch together and it showed. Thought Ross showed a bit more tonight as well, mainly 2nd half. Just looked a bit rusty. Still not unduly concerned. Once that first goal goes in and if we can keep much the same side together for a few games, we'll be fine. Oh and was it me or was that almost a homer ref we had tonight?
