and I thought it was lightening in the first half!!! You weren't the only one. From the Guardian: "In tricky conditions caused by a heavy downpour accompanied by lightning throughout the night, United looked the better side for most of the night." Oops! 10:30am - They've now amended their report.

Still no goals and plenty of excuses ,sounds like previous seasons. We have played two of the worst teams with 1 pointgreat return . Think thats a little bit harsh to be honest. The start of the season is always a bit odd. At the moment Weston are 3rd and Welling are bottom. I can't see either of those being true by the end of the season. The league is a long run. Remember 2 years ago. Undefeated in the first 8 I think. Top of the league. Then it all went wrong? And I don't think the teams we have played are two of the worst teams. St Albans did look quite useful, and Basingstoke can more than hold their own. Yes, perhaps we have failed to score yet (and we have had a lot longer runs without scoring than two matches), but we have had our first clean sheet and only let one goal in all season. At that rate we will let in 21 goals in a season, which isnt much! Like Taz, there really is no need to panic or moan yet. It will come right, you can see it in the team

Seems we've found another maoning mini! Jade's been on here a couple of times & so far as been totally negative. A bit early to say that we've played two of the worst sides.
Some U's fans expectations are far too high. This league gets tougher each season & we are not the richest club by any means.
I agree with Millsy about CW. We need him up front. However, who to play on the right would then be a bit of a poser. Who'd be a manager?
Thought the ref was ok last night. Cocked up some corner decisions on both sides but overall, one of the better that we've had in recent seasons. Or perhaps as Taz suggests, for once we got a "homer".

I reckon the team Haze would send out if everyone was fit and available would be: Wilson/Williams (not sure which yet) Hudson Scarborough Charles Bray Watkins Greene Honey Tanner McBean Montague Not bad, eh ?

What happened to the second half injury time last night? The ref seemed to blow up dead on 9.30!

Anyway no one has mentioned what thought was a stone wall penalty, was it?? I think the general consensus around where I was standing (middle of the securicor terrace) was that unfortunately it wasn't a penalty. Although obviously we weren't the closest people to the incident.
