A third from Andy Forbes, who has also missed a penalty - reputedly the first he has missed anywhere in his career.

4-0. Craig Dundas outmuscles 2 defenders and their goalkeeper, then prods it in from a yard out. Their number 6 is lucky to stay on

Bury won 2-0, Lowestoft won 1-0 and Kingstonian won 2-1, scoring a last minute winner after Danny Hockton had equalised for Maidstone. Harrow also scored a last minute winner against Carshalton.

Thats more like it. Tonight we did what we needed to do and in style. We needed to a) Win b) Score big c) Not conceed. We did exactly that. And not only that we didnt drop off in the 2nd half. Croydon, understandably looked by far the poorest side i've seen this season, but we could have just scraped a win. But we didn't and 4 different players scoring too. To be honest it could have been in double figures and i'm not even exaggeratng. Their defence were very weak, very surprising bearing in mind they had Tom Hughes (who got our first goal, thanks!) and 'Mad Dog' Hartburn.
With the other teams getting results too (except Cray), tonight was still important, and Lowestoft can still overtake us. We need to keep up the pressure.
Only bad thing about tonight was Bradley's injury. He's not sure if its just bruising or something more serious - hopefully its the former, and one of our brightest sparks of the season makes very quick recovery.
MoM for me. Well its not Kev today, only because he had very little to do. Although it could have been anyone tonight, I'll go for Mr Ebsworth. Great goal crowned 90mins of great playing.
As for the Forbes penalty - if he had to miss one, tonight was the one to do it. I have no doubt that will be the last time anyone sees him miss one!
Well done everyone tonight, and more of the same against Aveley on Saturday - these weak teams need to be put to the sword at home.

Well how nice it is to be sitting here after a 5-0 win, we played well won the second balls and looked hungry. Obviously Croydon are not the best but no one has put 5 past them and in truth could have should have been 7 or 8. Some really good balls slung in the box tonight, just the sort of thing our Mr Jolly would have enjoyed. A superb free kick by Ebby set us on our way to the easiest victory we have had for many a moon, and Dundo showed great determination to get up off the floor to walk in.
I thought the referee was very poor and lacked any sort of support from the lino down the rec side. The free kick awarded to Croydon in the 1st half just outside the box was outrageous, a cleaner tackle you will not see. Bradley (I hope he is OK) was taken late by their defender and got away scot free as did another of their guys who launched himself 2 footed at Jazz was it?. If had made contact he could have done some serious damage yet nothing at all from the officials who clearly saw it. In context our second yellow was ridiculous in comparison.
Its a shame the other results did not give us much of a bonus tonight, but we have passed pt1 with something to spare which is a relief more than anything.
Aveley must go the same way.
MOTM for me was Ebsworth with Dundo close behind, as for Kev I think he had a cup of tea and a fag in the 1st half ;D
