OS - Where the hell were you coming from for it to take over 2 hours? I can get from Biggin Hill to Sutton in about an hour on a Saturday.

Keeping 'em out first half when they had the wind at their backs was vital. And to be honest, we managed it without too much fuss. Don't really remember Scrivs having a save to make first 45. Second half, we stepped up a bit and it was mostly us on top. Just had to make the pressure count. Superb opener from Dundo, can't wait to see Paul's pics of what was possibly the most comprehensively bundled goal in the history of Association Football. Couple of moments of worry after that, but nowt serious. And then Bradley took full advantage of the 5's poor backpass, skipped past King and rolled it into the far corner. Cray were very disappointing I thought. Expected a lot more from them, especially given the goals they've scored this season. But they showed very little of the tempo we saw at GGL earlier in the season. Still, 3points is all that matters. Huge result given Lowestoft & Bury's slip up's yesterday. Good start to a pivotal month. Let's keep it up!

Just for the record, got home to Wallington in about 30 minutes from leaving the ground.
Back to the game, I thought we were very impressive and it was a very good win. Dos has said in his post match comments that it was "winning ugly" but apart from the first 30 minutes when we were adapting to the conditions, I thought we looked good and played some really nice stuff in the second half that was nice to watch.
Impressive debut by Leroy and good perfomances all over the pitch (Dundo was great again) and the whole defence must have been good as Kevin seemed to have little to to : apart from the first half incident outside the area which some Cray fans were not happy about.
Not sure how their left back stayed on the pitch other than the ref not wanting to be seen as picking on him as he looked about 12 years old.
Since the first half against Bury (i.e the second half in that game, Croydon, Aveley and yesterday), we seem to be playing some good football again much like at the beginning of the season. I really hope we can keep this up as it clearly suits us in terms of points and goals and will also suit Jolly much better when he comes back from loan as the goal scoring machine we all thought he was.
Yesterday was the first in a series of difficult game but if we carry on from yesterday, then it will hopefully be onwards and upwards

OS, it took me just under an hour. Average speed 14mph I did go and get petrol first, but it took over an hour to get there with 5 taffic cones causing a particular problem at 5 ways 15mins to go 200yrds. It was 30mins before I even got to croydon flyover then it was a race with the snails followed by the odd pedestrian burn up at the lights, most of which I lost

I saw that traffic heading up to five ways so cut up the industrial estate off of Stafford Road and round the back of Waddon to the road up towards Gravel Hill, cutting out pretty much all of Croydon and cut across the Oaks Road. avoided all the traffic and was at the ground in half hour from Carshalton Beeches.

Match report from the Cray Guardian..
Cray Wanderers 0-2 Sutton United
Two late goals for top of the table Sutton United were enough to see off Cray in a fiercely-fought game at windswept Hayes Lane.
Action from Cray's clash with top of the table Sutton United. Cray drop down to seventh, two places outside the play-off zone, after failing to exploit their wind advantage in the first 45 minutes.
The Wands started well, spreading the ball around with assurance, but the U's were first to threaten in the 9th minute, when Ally McLeod headed off the line to deny Andy Forbes.
Playing his 200th game for Cray, Leigh Bremner collided with Kevin Scriven who had raced a long way out of goal to try and clear the ball.
Bremner was in the wars again after a clash of heads with Simon Downer, and soon afterwards Cray's ex-Sutton midfielder Danny Phillips suffered a cut head and needed a change of shirt.
Chris Saunders screwed his shot wide from what would prove to be Cray's best chance of the game, created by a slide-rule pass from Ross Lover.
Sutton's new signing Leroy Griffiths began to look dangerous on the left, but half time arrived goalless, with referee Mr Webb a busy man repeatedly having to calm down the tempo as one fierce tackle followed another.
Bremner couldn't quite reach Laurent Hamici's inviting cross into the goalmouth after 55 minutes, but after that it was Sutton who powered up and pressurised the Cray goal.
The breakthrough came on 70 minutes after Darren Ebsworth's corner-kick from the right was touched back into the goalmouth at the far post.
The Cray defence froze, and Sutton's big striker Craig Dundas darted in to scramble the ball over the line.
It could have been two a moment later, but from close range Forbes put the ball wide with a reaction shot after a free-kick found its way through the Cray wall.
Six minutes from time, with Cray making little headway against the swirling wind, substitute Bradley Woods-Garness nipped in to poach Sutton's second.
