Kenny Gray? What a great name from the past that is. Top amateur footballer (inside forward, I think).
Funnily enough, I had an email via Hon Sec about someone bumping into Derek on holiday in the West Country recently. No details though.

Thanks for your replies so far ,especially Frankie, please try to help as much as possible as my dad would love to meet him again after all these years,Do any of the older commitee know of his whereabouts? It would make his day if anybody could help him. Also my dad would like to take his brother in lam to meet him, his name is Les Tilley who used to also play for Leytonstone and Enfield at the same time as my dad and unfortunately for Derek my uncle Les took his place in the england amateur football team in thr 60s and 70s, many thanks to you all,Good luck to all concerned at Sutton and hope you win the league and hopefully see you soon at a game against my team Dagenham and Redbridge ,many thanks to you all. Many thanks again Ian Gray

I seem to recall that Derek and his son came to one of our home matches last season and they were at the pre-match lunch. It is therefore probable that someone in the club has some idea of his contact details. Regretably, I don't know who!

Sorry for the mental mix up Hon Sec and others. Please put it down to advancing years.

Derek Gamblin was one of the finest right backs in England since the war. I am including both amateur and professional. Such great talent. He played for Portsmouth as well. In my opinon the best sutton player of all time.

People willing to help... another reason why I consider myself privileged to support such a fine club as Sutton United.
