Now that is a major shock is'nt it? I did not expect that to happen In fact I would say that that was about it for Croydon Ath and they may not complete the season. Another thing is the if they don't their results maybe expunged like Chester City's were, thats 6pts and +8 GD to us

I wonder if Paul Dipre will buy the remaining shares Apparently the 51% now goes back to Majeed as the Danish bunch have failed to complete the purchase.

Bury are yet to play them twice. Won the original fixture. If Croydon go that fucks our lead over them.
Unbelievable.

Just had a look it would not be desperate for us if it happened but we would lose +6 GD over Bury, well that minus what they would have score against them at home on 2/4. I am sure they will or would have got a hatful anyway. The team to benefit most would be Tonbridge due to their 2-0 defeat there but I think they are too far away now

One would hope that at this stage they would carry on. After all, before The Danes turned up they were still going; just not playing players.

Think there is panic too early here. From what I can see there is no reason for the Ryman League to kick them out - they are not in debt to HM Customs and Excise from what I know and they have not broken Ryman League Rules. And if the RL decide thats a course of action they want to pursue, am I right in saying that the members have to vote on this? I'm sure there are many teams, especially ones who have points from them, who won't vote them out! Remember as well how supportive the RL were back in September when the whole Majeed situation came around. I can't see them suddenly taking a hard line when it could have a massive effect on how the table is now.
The more pressing issue is if they resign from the league before the end of the season. I think this far in and with someone like Dave Garland in charge, he probably will be able to field a team through his connections, albeit an amateur one. I would even go as far to suggest that we may even loan a few reserve players to them - not only would it help them, but may help us with a couple of those players getting valuable Ryman league experience (e.g your Ottaways, Bajrush's, Chris SS and Jack Beards of this world who if we were 'mid table' with no chance of going up or down probably would have appeared on our 1st XI team sheets). The question is will DG stay when he's not being paid?
I could have got some things wrong there, but I'm taking a commonsense approach. And if that worst case scenario happens, we'd be level on points but with a game in hand over Bury, and a better goal difference. They still have a difficult run in, and have yet to play us. We get a better record than them, we win the league. Simple.
EDIT - Sorry my mistake - we would lose 6, Bury would lose 3, but they would also lose their game in hand. So if it were to happen it would be
Sutton P32 (Out of 40) Points 63 Bury P32 (out of 40) Points 61 Tonbridge P31 (out of 40) Points 56 Lowestoft P32 (out of 40) Points 54 Hornchurch P31 (out of 40) Points 50 Billericay P32 (out of 40) Points 54
We'd still be leading, but an expected 3 point difference will become 2. So nothing is wiped out, but has more of an impact especially for Billericay and Tonbrige. We would have to expect that Bury, Tonbridge and Billericay who all have to play Croydon, will win and win easily. So really, no change

If the statement on the club website is anything to go by, Croydon Athletic should see out the season: croydonathletic.net/web/
