My point in answering Ratty Hon Sec, was that alot of people went over the top because we beat the likes of Whyteleafe, Windsor & E, Leatherhead & a Brentford XI.
As you said yourself in a thread earlier, you can't go on PSFs.

Many words can be used to describe our performance yesterday. Total turd are probably the best (and most polite) combination i can think of.

On the plus side it's not as if we have no hope with a team of crap players. If we put our brains in gear, start passing and concentrating and play a proper midfielder on the right rather than a striker we should be stronger. Greene has to play for his passing strength and there's no need to have Henry, Watkins and McBean on the pitch all at once. Who plays right wing in the reserves? I'm not worrying just yet

Oh yes, as i think everybody noticed. The WsM number 4 was immense and probably stopped us from sneaking back into the game with at times decent attacking play.
Diamonds in dogshit i know (and i may have made that analogy up) but at least you can see there's some good waiting to get out.

Watkins is fine at right wing. What we need is a big lump up front to win headers who will unsettle opposing defences.

Is it just me or are we always either absolutely brilliant or absolutely shocking when we travel to Weston?

I don't actually understand whats going on. I did my usual 'im missing Weston because i'm out of the country trick' but obviously it was worth missing. The thing is I can't think of any crap players in our team, infact I can think of some outstanding ones at our level. So why is it we've not won in August??
Logic is defying me here. Although i'm not panicing yet. I remember this time 2 seasons ago. We'd just beaten Farnborough and were top of the league. Then we spent most of the season struggling against relegation

Maidenhead today reminded me of Yeading a couple of seasons ago - unsurprising as Johnson Hippolyte moved from one to the other, taking players with him. They were tall, fast and direct - the sort of team we usually have trouble with!
That said, this is the sort of fixture we need to win if we're going to survive at this level. We were at least 3 players short of a team that would look comfortable in BSS.
Management take note: find the money to strengthen the squad or face up to Ryman League football next season.

I was saying yesterday: we don't have bad players, but we do seem to have a bad team! It'll take time, but I reckon a lot of serious work in training should help that.
