Just wondered what any body thought about some of these p[oints raised in April. We are pleased with the way we are progressing and if we can keep the squad together and add a few faces we are certainly looking to challenge. The reserve and youth players will keep pushing for places and we are hoping to win something-even if its just the Surrey CupWe are delighted with fringe players Sam Clayton and Richard Blackwell and we hope to challenge more and in the league why not push for a play-off spot?.Anyone got any further points and I wonder where you think we may finnish now.

Rob, I wasn't going to reply to this, but I feel I have to. I think those words echoed most of the management and support at the time. OK to be fair at the moment things have gone a bit kharzi, but remember its only still September, there is still plenty of time to turn things around. I can only feel, however that the reason you have posted this is purely to be antagonistic.

As valid as your point is rob, i can't help wondering if it would be different had your son made it through the ranks...
Other than that, keep the team steady, add some experience and cut out the silly errors and we'll be fine.

Rob has got a point though, Sam and Richard have got a chance of reaching the play offs but with other clubs! The point is, the management seem to talk the talk but do not seem to be able to walk the walk! Look how many players and key management/coaches have left the club after years of successfull service since IH took over. Now you can't tell me this is coincidental? As for turning it around, I hope Sutton can but the key is to get a decent manager with a proven winning track record and no bullsh*t. At the moment there seems to be more chance of turning the QE2 round in the Wandle! Good luck today anyway.

What Phil's departure has to do with IH, I'm not sure - I thought it was down to work committments. I was under the impression he was considering quitting because of this before JR left.
As for the reserve players moving on, I thought that would happen anyway once Phil packed it in. They maybe looking for the play-offs but from Ryman South & as was shown in the friendlies this season that level is not quite the same as the Conf South (until we play a competitive fixture against one - no doubt!).

Andy,I really was not trying to be antagnistic,I was just reading through things as I do and just thought it would be interesting to see some peoples views on what was said at the time,I still have alot of Sutton at heart and maybe one day Bradley might return and play first team football, time will tell,I want you to win today, and sorry if what I said has been taken out of context.

When a club changes it's 1st team manager at this level, it's not that unusual that the people running the sides below that changes.
Get over it FFS.

Rob - this is only in jest okay As we are going back over old times how about this. Iwas not going to post on hear again, but for two reasons I must and this will be my last post.Firstly thanks to you all for your kind comments with regard to me and Bradley, they are very much appreciated.Secondly,I must apologise with regard to my thread about Sam Clayton leaving the club,my information I was given was infact not true, having spoken to his dad today,Sam is not leaving the club and in fact is still a Sutton Utd player and will fight to gain a place in Ian Hazel's team,so I apologise to Sam and his dad Dick for putting that article on the chat page, and to all the other readers who have read the thread.Good Luck Sam. Yet you keep posting - and of course you are welcome to. :-)
