If we're going to climb out of trouble then we really need to beat Weston.
Last season, this fixture was in September and produced our second win and our first home victory. The players now have to repeat that feat.
A win would give us 8 points from 11 matches - which is what we'd got at the end of September last year. (We'd played a game more at this point of the season). We then won two out of three in October. So just keeping pace with last season (and so staying out of serious trouble) is going to be tough if we don't get three points tomorrow.

Note to any players reading this. Please do not lump the ball upfield aimlessly. Craig Rand will just gobble every single long ball up again.
If we're going to get anything from tomorrow's game, we have to get the ball on the deck and utilise our wingers.

Their 4 and 5 were immense, mind you they didn't necessarily have the hardest of workouts. As said elsewhere, Quinno stood out as our best player whilst Watkins worked tirelessly trying to feed off scraps. Nothing else to add.

Watkins, for me, has looked the only player in the last 2 games with any motivation. I've suspected that this has been at least partly to avoid being dropped again. I can't help being cynical in this sort of atmosphere!

You're saying Watkins is trying hard so he's not dropped and that you're being cynical because of your statement?
State the blooming obvious girl!! This is what each and everyone of the players should be doing week in week out!

Unfortunately, Mr Chalmers, we cannot drop the whole team on Tuesday!

Yes we can. Play the ressies. They might get hammered, but at least they'd show some bollocks.

Wont our first team get hammered anyway?
Sorry, I'm a touch depressed at the mo and not feeling very positive.
