Do not read more into this than the simple statement of fact, which I thought fans would be interested in - as I know we all like to keep track of former players - but Gary McCann (Hendon) has just been named as Ryman Manager of the Month for September.
If you knew Gary when he was in our youth team and later progressed to the first team jersey, I think this would have come as a surprise. I believe he is also a successful owner of a chain of a sports shops, so well done Gary.

He was on the NL radio show a few weeks back. He's performed brilliantly to first stop the rot at Hendon at the beginning of last season to see his team produce Hendon's best start to a season for years. Good luck to him. Top penalty stopper too.

My first Sutton hero, after the Kidderminster FA Cup replay! Top man, Gary.

Gary's doing well, but personally I don't like ex-goalkeepers as managers. I don't trust their judgement of players - you can be a great goalkeeper without being able to identify what makes a good outfield player.

Lets face it, is he really going to abandon the Hendon side he's built and got to the top of the Ryman Prem to take over our bunch of players assembled by someone else and currently sat rock bottom of the division above?
Like buggery is he.
