For those who haven't picked this up from our fixture list...the BSBS home matches v Hayes & Y and Weston-s-Mare (postponed from the dates of our Trophy games) have been rearranged for, respectively, 15 and 22 January (both Tuesdays).
As things stand, we now have four consecutive home games next month (Basingstoke, H&Y, Truro, Weston).

.....lets hope so, at the start of season we talked about fortress GGL, hasn't quite worked out for various reasons, the way we play at home?/the opposition come just to defend? end result only 1 league win at home so far. Hence our lowly league position, away now thats a different story. On that basis should we play all our home games away?

We also tend to struggle in winter due to the fact that our pitch gets very heavy.

If you believe what is printed in The Daily Express, January could be tricky for pitches without undersoil heating.
They have been banging on about some extreme Siberian weather that will cause doom and gloom for all of us. Mind you, they have been saying it for months and we haven't copped it yet!

Except.........they didn't. It is merely the end of one of their periods of time, in the same way 31st December ends a year for us. The next day, a new count begins.
But expect a lot of people to make a few quid selling the books and t-shirts all the same !

If you believe what is printed in the Daily Express you need medical assistance.

Especially as every winter they shriek about a Siberian cold snap on its way, and every summer it's an imminent "scorcher." Neither bears any relation to what actually happens.

Assuming that the pitch deals with today's downpour ok, we shouldn't see a weather postponement until after xmas. Current forecast is dry from tomorrow until wednesday, and no prospect of frost.

Does it? The Mail's politics are extreme but the Express is a bloody comic.
