Sorry Stewart, not yet. Obviously, arrangements are in place for an inspection if it is needed but nothing can be decided this early.

Raining again in gander green lane. Our lawns like a bog. This has got to be the worst Christmas weather. Wet, mild and windy. All very, very wrong. Os. What's that pitch they've got at Maidstone.?

A pitch they can't use in the FA Cup! Used it in FA Trophy. Would they have got special dispensation?

I think they can use the 3g pitch for FA Cup qualifying rounds, just not the proper rounds. Yet.

We plan to travel up for the game but obviously need an early call on whether it is on. It has been foul down here again today, strong winds and pouring rain. Anybody know when the pitch will be first inspected on Boxing Day? If somebody could post the decision early on here that would be very helpful. In the meantime, have a good Christmas!

I guess there will be a pitch inspection on the morning of the game. Fortunately there is no rain expected on the day.

Always worth remembering when making lawn to pitch comparisons that your lawn probably doesn't have drainage and our pitch does (well, except for the bit in the corner covered in sand).
