An announcement on the official site confirms that Stefan Payne has been released from his contract with Sutton.
This is obviously disappointing for both parties, but since his return Stefan has given few signs that he'd fulfil the rich potential he showed during his first spell with us. Missing almost all of pre-season because of injury hardly helped his cause, but after scoring twice in October he seemed to lose his way again. With Harry O and Marvin both recruited to our front line and playing well, it was always likely that two of the strikers we started the season with would be on their way out - and it's been Kyle and Stefan who've been deemed surplus to requirements.
Stefan is still young and has the opportunity to prove himself at another club. I hope things work out for him.

I wished him good luck after the game today. Real shame and I have alot of sympathy for him. Alot has happened in his career in a short time & I don't think it has done his confidence any good.

No surprise to me that he's gone.I wish him well but as i said earlier in the season he needs to drop down the leagues further in order to establish himself.

Although Harry O is doing well at the moment, it would be good to see how Marvin and Kezi might link up together.

Seeing as Kezi is staying at Eastbourne, according to the O/S,i can't see it happening, shame because it could be the strike partnership,we've been missing this season

I don't think Kez is the answer.Marvin looked useful at Bromley and could link up well with either Craig's.

Maybe he needs to start at a lower level and rebuild his career. I wish him lots of luck, something that has been missing for him recently.

To start his career would be more apt. He has played very little proper football still. Time is on his side. Needs to get his head down and work hard if he wants to give it a go. Unfortunately a few of the idiots on the park side got stuck into him and you could see the confidence drain out of him. As well as all that he has to prove that he can play and perform at a decent level, as yet he has been unable to do that. Best wishes to him.
