OS says wow there is some fire power there Obviously sorry to see CW go but we really do need goals. After suffering winter vomiting virus all day it cheered me up!

I think that CW was hard done by this season. Having been comfortably our top scorer last season he was shunted down the list by a couple of lively pre season performances by someone barely out of nappies with no proven track record and a journeyman target man. Then injuries hit his ability to get any sort of match sharpness. He was always a threat last year on the shoulder of the last man and with decent pace. He did miss a few chances but he did get in positions to score, if he was a better finisher he would be a level or 2 higher. Sometimes you need to give guys a bit of time as they go through dips in form. Sadly we haven't created the same amount of chances this season either. You could say Harry B has also dipped a bit this year, certainly there hasn't been the same end product to his game (could be more closely watched by opp?). Having said all that if the new guys can produce goals then the decision would be proven correct. Best of luck to Craig.

I'm not sure anyone suspected Craig to do so well last season - he was a revelation. This season he has not played as an out and striker all the time but has been a bit untidy in front of goal when the opportunities came (he's not be alone in that though). Always put in a great shift though & wish him well, wherever he moves onto. A good lad is CW.

Once again Dos produces a rabbit out of a hat. I can't disagree that the squad needs freshening up. After last season I thought Craig W might have become a top striker at our level but the sad truth is that he's gone backwards since the spring. His confidence may have taken a hit but a semi-pro player needs to take the knock-backs if he's going to stay in contention. I'm also disappointed about Old - for reasons that others have covered - but with his departure from the UK now looking likely the club clearly had to make another pragmatic decision.

So according to Sutton United twitter feed, K's claim not to have signed Stephen Old on dual registration.
I am a bit confused!

Isn't Oldy heading straight to china for his trials now? Good luck to the bloke and let's hope he makes it work and if he doesn't I'd like like to think we might him in a Sutton shirt again in the future.

So according to Sutton United twitter feed, K's claim not to have signed Stephen Old on dual registration. I am a bit confused! Dos had agreed it and he was expected to - appears as though that didn't happen but as it was only ever going to be dual registration, naturally we hadn't cancelled his registration or had any request to do so. If it hasn't made it that far then so be it and perhaps our news item should've said "expected to" - with hindsight!
