Just heard from MatchSec, the game has not survived the pitch inspection.

From the Maidenhead website
"Following a pitch inspection at 9.30 am it was clear that it was waterlogged and wouldn't be suitable for play this afternoon. With more rain forecast later this weekend, Tuesday night's match against Sutton United is already in doubt."

Those looking for a local game, it seems the two teams that hate us the most are playing at the bobbins house....

Went to Worcester park reserves v raynes park for the two pm kick off. Decent game with rpv lucky to run out two one winners. Pitch was in fine playable condition which once again raises the question are refs setting the bar to high bearing in mind this is Britain and footballs a winter sport. I know safety has to come tops and there's no point playing if the ball won't travel but on a lovely sunny afternoon it's gotta be legit to reopen that discussion. My other big gripe is the morons who choose the live fa cup tv games. Neither Macclesfield or Luton v prem clubs make it and instead we get the kind of games today that would be buried at the fag end of a boring match of the day show. That rubs salt in the wound of another washed out Saturday.

Went to Maidstone v Merstham and took a look at the new ground with the synthetic pitch.Yes it certainly made for a perfect playing surface and the passing game.Whether i like it or not is a different matter. Couldnt help notice all the brand new scarves and hats in the 1500 plus crowd.Lack of elevation around the terraces didn't help my viewing. Crowd strangely quiet and only after getting tanked up on the free flowing beer did they sing in the second half. There was a marquee just behind the goal only selling beer and i'm sure that helps to swell the crowd there. Billy would be in his element!

I am getting really fed up with this now! I miss your match reports , can you do us one anyway ? Something along the lines of................... If the game had been played any goals scored by Billericay would have been offside and Sutton would have been denied at least one clear cut penalty.

Highlights of the game I filmed yesterday are up. Epsom's second goal is in the Tommy Kavanagh category
