Looks like my trip to the new Wembley will have to be the centre piece of a glorious piss up! I've seen England play far worse in this qual campaign & not lose. Penalty was a joke, not because it was outside the area but because it wasn't a foul. Their fellow had contact with Rooney's arm before anything else happened & then launched himself to get in the box. Still, what was Rooney doing at left back? And as for Robinson, he can foo off & make Spurs' fans life a misery, not the rest of the country. The Jocks will have to turn it around too, otherwise these isles will not be represented in a major football tournament - when, if ever, did that last happen.

Scots 2-0 down now - not looking good for GB in Euro 2008.

Was it WC 1994 when only Ireland qualified.
I guess Hon Sec and your other muttheads could always try and get 18pts deducted from Russia for playing on an artificial pitch or not signing a piece of paper in the right place
Yes I'm that desparate to beat Taz with the lowest karma score on here ....

I thought that Russia were the better team in the second half and England looked ragged.

Some great results tonight though. If it really is 'a game of two halves' then Wales won one and lost one (a draw in my book!) against the might of San Marino! The sweaties lost to Georgia Greece beat Turkey, in Turkey The paddies are 1 down to Cyprus Liechtenstein beat Iceland (is that their first ever win?) Ukraine won 5 - 0 and Germany lost at home to Czech Rep Not a bad night

Boo, Finnan the fenian got a last minute equaliser. I used to play with his older brother at Wimbledon as well, they weren't very Irish.

As i was thinking on Saturday. Cyprus's star strikers play at Celta Vigo and Olympiakos.
Wales' star strikers are Robert Earnshaw and Freddy Eastwood
I rest my case!

Why'd anyone mention the Ukraine win? Come on please! You know I get upset when the Faroe Islands lose.

Earnie has NEVER been our star striker, except when we twatted four past Scotland in Cardiff. He's excellent at being offside though. Not that Bellamy at West Ham and Eastwood at Wolverhampton Wanderers makes it look any better...

How bad must Azerbaijan be??? As for the England game, not even slightly surprised they lost. The press have been building it up for a big fall the moment they announced they game was on an artificial pitch about 6 months ago. It might do some of these so called 'world class' players good to miss out on a tournament, but I doubt it.
